The war in Libya, of course, was not only a totally uncalled for and completely unjustified interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation; it was an action that violated U.S. federal law, the War Powers Act. Consent from Congress, supposedly the representatives of We the People, was neither asked for nor granted. The result was chaos and the brutal murder of a leader who had the support of a large percentage, if not an actual majority, of his countrymen. In the end, radical Islamists rose in power and stature; and the promised freedom for the downtrodden never materialized.
Not long after, a State Department (read: CIA) compound in the Libyan city of Benghazi was attacked and overrun by radical Islamists allied with al-Queda, an organization Obama and his Ministry of Propaganda (aka the Mainstream Media) swore was defeated, dispersed, and no longer a threat. While Obama and Hillary Clinton, then Secretary of State, did nothing to help and in fact appear to have hindered rescue efforts, four Americans (government employees including our ambassador) were savagely murdered. Obama and Clinton, with the complicity of the media, have worked feverishly ever since to cover up their heinous (in)actions.
Why, one might feel tempted to ask? Well, it seems that the erstwhile Peace Prize winner was involved in a gun-running scheme. No, no. Not the one that sent thousands of weapons to drug cartels in Mexico. No. This one was about shipping masses of arms, at least some of which were collected from the defeated Libyan Army, to the Syrian “rebels,” another group allied with (if not run by) supposedly no longer existent al-Queda. For some reason, the Peace Prize winning “President” of al-Queda’s sworn enemy doesn’t want the American people to know he has been supplying them with weapons.

She will be hated by many for her conservative ways, which, as the world sees was the result of the post-colonial cohabitation of domestic pragmatism and Imperial British elan but Britishers see her as an Iron Lady and for obvious reasons. She did what she had to for her country at the time. Yes !! World Peace was not on her books. She thought of concentrating on one country at a time.
Margaret Thatcher remains a figure who revitalized Britain's economy, curbed the trade unions, and re-established the nation as a world power. She oversaw an increase from 7% to 25% of adults owning shares, and more than a million families bought their council houses, giving an increase from 55% to 67% in owner-occupiers. Total personal wealth rose by 80%and women's pay rose dramatically to the highest level on record and stayed there.
Don't you wish your Prime Minister as scene-changing? RIP Margaret Thatcher.

After some level-head discussions and consultations, "Planners" of the much talked-about "April 12 Demonstration" are now resolving to "CANCEL" event. I wish to publicly commend them for this sober rethink and say shame on all you who had wished doom for Liberia.

Two Republicans from South Florida are calling for an investigation into Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s recent trip to Cuba.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé were photographed in Cuba during a trip to the island nation last week, to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary in Havana.
Republican representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of the 27th Congressional District and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart of the 25th Congressional District, are calling on the US Office of Foreign Assets Control to investigate the trip.
Cuba is currently the subject of an economic embargo by the United States, and its citizens are only allowed to travel to the country with special permission.
The pair sent a letter to Adam Szubin, Director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control at the Treasury Department, requesting information on the type of license that Jay-Z and Beyoncé received to travel to Cuba.
“Despite the clear prohibition against tourism in Cuba, numerous press reports described the couple’s trip as tourism, and the Castro regime touted it as such in its propaganda ” the pair said in the letter to Adam Szubin. “We represent a community of many who have been deeply and personally harmed by the Castro regime’s atrocities, including former political prisoners and the families of murdered innocents.”

Check out the full copy of the letter below:

The Honorable Adam J. Szubin
Director
Office of Foreign Assets Control
Department of Treasury
1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C. 20220

Dear Director Szubin:
We write to express concern and to request information regarding the highly publicized trip by U.S. musicians Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (Beyoncé) and Shawn Carter (Jay-Z) to Cuba. We would like to respectfully request, within all applicable rules and guidelines, information regarding the type of license that Beyoncé and Jay-Z received, for what purpose, and who approved such travel.
As you know, U.S. law expressly prohibits the licensing of financial transactions for “tourist activities” in Cuba (Section 910(b)(1) of the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act). If these individuals were given people-to-people licenses, we would like to bring to your attention the Cuba Travel Advisory issued by OFAC on July 25,2011 which states, “OFAC only licenses People-to-People Groups that certify that all participants will have a full-time schedule of educational exchange activities that will result in meaningful interaction between the travelers and individuals in Cuba.” These restrictions are in place because the Cuban dictatorship is one of four U.S.-designated state sponsors of terrorism with one of the world’s most egregious human rights records. Cuba’s tourism industry is wholly state-controlled; therefore, U.S. dollars spent on Cuban tourism directly fund the machinery of oppression that brutally represses the Cuban people.
Despite the clear prohibition against tourism in Cuba, numerous press reports described the couple’s trip as tourism, and the Castro regime touted it as such in its propaganda. We represent a community of many who have been deeply and personally harmed by the Castro regime’s atrocities, including former political prisoners and the families of murdered innocents. The restrictions on tourism travel are common-sense measures meant to prevent U.S. dollars from supporting a murderous regime that opposes U.S. security interests at every turn and which ruthlessly suppresses the most basic liberties of speech, assembly, and belief. We support the Cuban people by refusing to sustain their jailers.
