First game with new tau is a resounding victory. Never leave home without stealth suits. Or a riptide or crisis suits. Really your elite choices have been chosen for you.

Went to New Braunfels after lunch. Had an appt to get measured for orthodics--having the right sole built up on my 2 new pairs of shoes. Then went to Wal-Mart in NB--got some capris and t-shirts and a pink leopard sunshade for my car. Also got some flowers and took them to the cemetery between NB and Seguin to put on graves of 2 friends. Then went to Dollar Tree in Seguin--got a bunch of ladybug stuff for my sister's b-day and some frog stuff for another friend. Came home, read some, washed the t-shirts so they're ready to wear. Tried to post this 20 min. ago but computer was not cooperating!

The Indestructible Bible
By A. G. Freed
The Bible is the oldest book the world has. It antedates the Chinese bible. It has come down to us through the ages. Its enemies have sought to destroy it. Its pages are stained with the blood of martyrs. Empires, kingdoms and states have crumbled around it. How do you account for the Bible surviving the wreck of time? The answer is that God is with it and in it.
It was Mears who said, "The lyric poetry of the Hebrews was in its golden age nearly a thousand years before the birth of Horace. Deborah sang a model of a triumphant song full five hundred years before Sappho was born. The book of Esther was a venerable fragment of biography, more strange than fiction, at least twelve hundred years old at the dawn of the romantic literature of Europe. The proverbs of Solomon are by eight hundred years more ancient than the writings of Seneca."
Though it has been exploded, demolished, and made ready for the grave countless times, it goes on its triumphant way, giving light, hope, and salvation to unnumbered millions in many lands and many tongues.
The Bible lives in spite of men. False theories of religion profess to be built upon it. A relentless war is waged upon it by those who hate it, and friends to it have become lukewarm. Yet the Bible is here. It is the deathless book. It is as eternal as God. "The word of the Lord endureth forever."

Navy Tradition lives on in some of us...
LITTLE KNOWN TIDBIT OF NAVAL HISTORY.
It's not just a job...it's an adventure!
The U.S.S. Constitution (Old Iron Sides), as a combat vessel, carried 48,600 gallons of fresh water for her crew of 475 officers and men. This was sufficient to last six months of sustained operations at sea. She carried no evaporators (I.e. Fresh water distillers).
However, let it be noted that according to her ship's log, "On July 27, 1798, the U.S.S.Constitution sailed from Boston with a full complement of 475 officers and men, 48,600 gallons of fresh water, 7,400 cannon shot, 11,600 pounds of black powder and 79,400 gallons of rum"
Her mission: "To destroy and harass English shipping."
Making Jamaica on 6 October, she took on 826 pounds of flour and 68,300 gallons of rum.
Then she headed for the Azores , arriving there 12 November. She provisioned with 550 pounds of beef and 64,300 gallons of Portuguese wine.
On 18 November, she set sail for England . In the ensuing days she defeated five British men-of-war and captured and scuttled 12 English merchant ships, salvaging only the rum aboard each.
By 26 January, her powder and shot were exhausted. Nevertheless, although unarmed she made a night raid up the Firth of Clyde in Scotland . Her landing party captured a whiskey distillery and transferred 40,000 gallons of single malt Scotch aboard by dawn. Then she headed home.
The U.S.S. Constitution arrived in Boston on 20 February 1799, with no cannon shot, no food, no powder, no rum, no wine, no whiskey, and 38,600 gallons of water.

THE POWER OF POSITIVITY
*“There is nothing good or bad, only thinking makes it so.” ~ Hamlet
The book "The Secret" says that the universe will deliver on the desires of those who occupy it, so long as they stay optimistic and determined.
*Positivity isn’t blind faith; it’s the ability to stay hopeful:
*“Optimism is the belief that good things will happen to you and that negative events are temporary setbacks to be overcome.” - Mayo Clinic
*Optimists tend to be happier and healthier, and always look out for the rainbow after every storm. They say to themselves that it’s often darkest just before dawn. They will cry when it hurts, laugh at their ownmistakes, pray when a situation seems completely hopeless, but most importantly, they will let any ray of hope – no matter how small –lift their spirits and fill them with a new zeal to keep going.
*Optimists are less prone to depression, because they let life and love cheer them.
*The pessimist on the other hand, will let no one cheer him up, and chooses instead to hangon to his belief that life is only full of bad things. He will seal up every crack in his ‘prison’, and does not dare to trust, or have enough faith in life and love.
*The OPTIMIST says the glass is half full; the PESSIMIST forever sees it as half empty….and the REALIST says, “Well, it depends on whether you’re drinking or pouring!
Sometimes in life, the difference between a success story and a tragedy can be the ability to just hang in there, all the while doing whatever it takes to keep the right attitude. Believing that life is, in the end, good.
*Focus on possible solutions. Don’t worry yourself to a pulp. Learn. Work. Plan. Laugh. Love. Live…and a personal favourite: Keep only the best of company. You deserve it.
*"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live the world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."
*“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.
*“All things are possible for him who believes”. – Bible
Stay positive optimistic as i am.......
