Summertime Sunday Soiree Week 1
Well it’s been a long fortnight I can tell you waiting for tonights delight.
And judging by the attendance it wasn’t just me missing the frivolities of a Sunday night session.
In fact I hadn’t seen so many wankers in one place since the golden days of dogging!!!!!
With one or two late changes to the line-ups, a good 9 aside game was up for the offering and what a belter it turned out to be.
Straight from the off then and the action was frenetic to say the least. Every easter-egg filled plonker running his moobs off in search of the ball..........
Very nip n tuck this game before a breakthrough sees the reds in front and its that man again....The Latvian Assassin Gats at the far post. Not sure it was a pass from Jerry The Berry or a skewed effort but the lads didn’t give a fk.........1-0 to the redmen!!
With chances coming and going at both ends its shaping up to be a decent game of footy...............fkinell who’d have thought it?? Not me.........melonheads
Quite a few minutes pass and its obvious this ones up for the taking but a rare little passing passage of play from the yellows sees a decent equaliser from Jakey Sweetboots finishing a good cross from Iain C. 1-1.
The longer this game goes the better it gets. So tight. In fact dare I say tighter than a nuns fufu!!

But wait..... bish bosh bash its another for the reds. hink it was a rare Daz Wild goal but who cares.....the reds don’t theyre 2-1 up. A little more pressing from the yellows and an absolute sitter missed by Iain C sees the first half brought to an end with the reds skipping off like Morecombe n Wise on whizz!!
So onto the second half and its time for the yellows to roll up their sleeves, roll down their socks and start grafting if theyre going to get a result.!! But from the off the reds start as they finished the first testing the ever reliable Fingers Nuttall...........Snotty Wells tries his customary punt from the halfway line...........shite.........then save after save Phil keeps denying the team full of beans!!! Unbelievable Jeff!!! This aint gonna be easy.
But hang on..... the yellows force a corner. Seeing the reds at sixes n sevens, the svelt Russolini starts a jog towards the box hand aloft gesturing to Chris J to ping the ball in his direction and he duly obliges..............................ball flying at pace over the reds sees the big man plant his feet and bury an unstoppable header into the top corner over a stricken Truth and Snotmeister!!!! 2-2 Get In!!! Could this be goal of the game?????
No-one can believe it.........cheeky twats..................................To coin Jerry The Berry ‘Ive seen it all now’.............no you haven’t Jerry....... my lockers full!!!!
That goal and Phils relentless saves really knocks the redmen now and before you know it the Ben Grimmy finishing school starts..........................bang 3-2 ....wallop 4-2.........kepow....5-2!!
What a response! What have the reds got left??? Nothing..............everytime they get close the little man in pegs denies again and again. To be honest, we could have played for a week and they wouldn’t have notched. And that was that.........lowest score to date but probably one of if not the best game to date.

My husband Kenny is on his way to Atlanta for the final game! We met at the University of Michigan , we both graduated from UM, he went to Med School there and we live in Louisville( he was born here) Such a dilemma! I hope he and his brother have a blast!

What a spring break! Did I even have a break? Haha! It all started Good Friday and ends today. I've been out to dinner/spent time with family, ran 5k, Easter Sunday service/brunch, up to the mountains, skiied, came back, shopped, Kings Game, wedding rehearsal and wedding. I'm pooped. I know I am going to have a crazy week ahead...but I'm grateful to have a full life surrounded by those who care for me and love me. Please know that I return all right back at you...100% and more. The Government sells their “WAR ON HOONS” under the umbrella of road safety. They justify it with the statistics that 17-25 years are over represented in road fatalities, and they are being tough to reduce the road toll and save lives.

Government legislation is based on the “deterrent principle” – if the stick is big enough, it will deter people from doing it. So what is the Government's answer when the problems persists, bring in an even bigger stick.

We know as a community that this does not work…particularly with this age group.

We need a fresh approach...

If males 17-25 years are in fact over represented in road statistics then why aren't we educating them to survive on the roads… instead of just penalising them for doing the wrong thing? We believe this is an important question, that the Government needs to answer.

We need to teach these younger drivers to have respect for cars, respect for community, we need to teach them to survive on our roads, and we need to give them somewhere to go.

Draconian penalties of $6,000 + plus loss of vehicle for 90 days - for a first offence is excessive to a 17 year on minimum wages. These younger drivers are at an age where they are finding their place in society, finding their direction in life - do we really want to push them over the edge and vilify them for making a mistake.

Lets not try and ruin their lives – lets try and fix their lives through education.

Society wants to point the finger and blame our kids for having no respect - yet it is Society who created these kids.

So what is the answer...

Government Research shows that Advanced Driver Training isn't the answer as it promotes overconfidence in younger drivers and has been proven to not reduce the road toll; and maybe we agree with that - maybe we don't - but one thing we strongly believe is that "Driver Education" is required.

We need to educate our younger drivers (and everyone) to have respect for cars, to have respect for others on the roads, and respect for themselves and each other. We need to promote personal responsibility not intolerance.
