Da election result in Kenya has been decided by its Supreme Court...in favour of da same person declared winner by da country's electoral commission...!!

Da arrival @ a decision...so soon after da petition was made to da Supreme Court...has got sections of GH folk asking why our own Supreme Court seems to be dragging its feet on a similar petition before it...!!

Well...as we may well know...in Kenya...when elections are held...da constitution bars da winner from assuming executive office...if a credible challenge is made to da results before da Supreme Court...!!...In order to avoid extended executive limbo...& its attendant effect on da nation...da Supreme Court is bound to examine evidence before it quickly...& rule on da petition before it...as we have seen occur...bringing an end to governance uncertainty...& of course moving in da direction of national stability...!!

Now...what do we see in GH...!!??...A lackadaisical Supreme Court...!!??...Well...as we may all realise...in da grand wisdom of da framers of our own 4th Republican Constitution...no such clause exists...dat forces a time frame on any such decision from our Supreme Court...hence our Supreme Court effectively can take its own time to come to its decision...!!

Many are those in my country who keep wondering why WISDOM did not insert such a clause in our own constitution...!!??...Hmmm...!!...Well like I keep saying everytime...our 4th Republican Constitution was built around da comfort...safety...& security of one man...Jerry John Rawlings...!!...Our constitution as it is was designed to ensure...dat da man Papa J was not to find himself in any tight corners in his quest for a further tenure of office in 1992...& beyond...& as well in his post frontline political life in GH...!!...Da drafting of our constitution was not about enabling common sense prevail in da protection of da rights of da GH citizen...!!...It was all about what made sense to one & only one man...Papa J...!!...Da fact is...da framers of our constitution always expected challenges to election results involving Papa J...but of course...if da constitution stated...dat he should be sworn-in upon da declaration of da Electoral Commission...then what chance of a removal...once a whole Papa J had himself assumed executive powers...!!??

Now...we all know about da NPPs history with challenging election results...right from 1992...!!...We all know da NPP has been in-charge of our country for 8 solid years...in which they had a majority in parliament...& held sway on political initiative in dat time...!!...In dis time...they coulda effectively lobbied their political opponents to restructure our constitution to prevent a problem they had been battling until 2000 when dem took power...!!...They instead spent their time in office dreaming & fashioning out schemes to rip their own country & people off...greedily stuffing their pockets left...right...& centre...just like da very people they had taken over from...!!...In da midst of their greed & selfishness...they totally forgot dat dis problem of our constitution exists...!!...Today life has come full circle...& it's all come back to bite dem on da backside bigtime...!!

Sympathy...!!??...I feel it for GH folk...but NOT FOR DA NPP...!!...SMDH...!!!
