The club are holding an All Ireland Gala presentation in the Sheraton Hotel Athlone on Saturday, April 13th.

Minor Committee Notes
To celebrate our All-Ireland heroes, a special souvenir T-Shirt for all our underage players will shortly be available at the St Brigid’s clubhouse. For parents who may be interested in buying the T-Shirt they are priced at €8.
Walking track
The club's new walking track is officially open for use. Everyone is welcome to use the new walking track as well as the outdoor exercise equipment.
Club Membership
It's that time of year again when club membership needs to be paid. Only members who are fully paid up by the 31st March will be eligible to play for the club.
The Club Lotto
The Club lotto provides vital funding for our boys and girls teams at all levels - underage, junior, intermediate and senior. If you are a member already, thank you for your support. Tickets cost 2 euro each per week and may also be paid for by standing order, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly. Under 12's Croke Park April 2nd 2013
The Parteen Under 12's Hurlers played with great pride and commitment for the club this past Tuesday in Croke Park, meeting teams from other counties (Limerick, Cork, Waterford). Each of the 21 players got to play a game and half for the club on the famous pitch.
A big thank you to all the parents that travelled to Dublin on the day and to Connor Nestor, Roddy McDermott, Jennifer Small, Tracey McGleenan, Niamh Cooney and Benny McAvoy for all their work on what was another great event for the club. Run with Military precision !

Update on Carnival Triumph in Mobile, AL
April 3, 2013, 7PM ET
Earlier this afternoon, due to strong winds that reached speeds exceeding 70 miles per hour during a severe storm in Mobile, Ala., Carnival Triumph, which was in wet dock at a Mobile shipyard, broke away from its moorings. The ship drifted, and was secured.
With the assistance of tugboats on site, the ship has been moved to the Mobile Cruise Terminal. Lines have moored the ship, and, as a precaution, tugboats will remain alongside the vessel as well.
All of the approximately 600 crew and 200 contractors who were onboard the vessel are safe and have been accounted for through a roll call. There are no reports of injuries. While assessment of damage to the ship is ongoing, initial indications suggest the damage is limited.
According to reports, two shipyard employees on an adjacent pier fell into the water. One has reportedly been rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard and the search continues for the second. Our thoughts and prayers are with the missing shipyard employee and the family.

My son might be the luckiest guy around! Today, his last day of his spring break adventure, he decided to be James Bond and went to the Casino in Monaco (yep that's right, after laying by the pool all day in Cannes France, after 2 weeks traipsing through Morrocco and Italy) and went and won over 500 euros (about $700) playing blackjack!!!
