Since we're going to have nice little Sunday School stories to combine with MLB, it causes me to ponder, WWJD, with a bat and glove?

Would Jesus start the season 1 for 16, going 0 for 4, and muffing balls in the outfield, in the Rangers opener?

Since writings ascribe miracles to Jesus, wouldn't he be 16 for 16, all home runs, and even on a base hit coming to the outfield, wouldn't he throw the ball to first base before the runner could get there? I digress.

So since we're having a little Sunday School at the Ballpark, I've got a little story for Josh.

Since he proclaimed himself no longer a part of the Texas tribe, perhaps a truer analogy would be to say Josh is now an Egyptian.

As such, I can see plagues in Josh's future, plagues of frogs, lice, gnats, fleas, flies, swarms of locusts.

As a matter of fact, Josh will probably eventually look like pigpen on the Charlie Brown cartoons. Everywhere he goes, there will be this dust cloud all around him, with gnatty bugs flying around his head.

When he is trying to see the ball while at bat, gnats will be in his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, causing him to hit 1 for 640 at bats this year, with 639 strikeouts.

Josh, thank you so much for the biblical analogy to MLB, I feel closer to God already.

Hmm...y'know..i was just sittin here thinkin bout "stuff"...Some of you all might not know this but I work security at a really posh posh high end jewelry store where the cheape$t thing goes for 15 grand. Im talkin bout diamond encrusted "bling bling"...and it amazes me that there are people with their heads and hearts up in some other stratosphere who think nothing of waltzin in and cutting a check for twenty thousand for a diamond encrusted wristwatch or thirty thousand for a jewel bedecked crucifix (DONT get me started on THAT one..) yet i find myself studyin these spiritually bankrupt people and thinkin to myself that just one chip off one of these diamond things can buy a family of four food for the next three years or a school full of kids book bags and shoes for years to come..I KNOW for a fact that I HAVE the REAL diamonds in my pockets!!! Ive seen beautiful pink and orange sunsets and ive smelled early morning dew on pine trees, ive seen the look of love in my dog's eyes when i roughhouse with him or maybe get "in the zone" when i ride my bike and hit a nice stretch of blacktop and just feel GODs overpowering presence and love rain down on a stray like me. Or the REAL love of a life partner who you know will ALWAYS have your back no matter what..These are the REAL diamonds and gems as far as Im concerned. This is Reality, unfolding before my eyes, my families eyes. Since the stroke, in 2000, as much as i try to remain healthy...if you are a Stroke Survivor, or know someone that has Survived a Stroke....there are daily obstacles to overcome "Post-Stroke". Unfortunately, the obstacle before me now, is my Heart. In 2010, I was diagnosed as a Cardiovascular Patient, and have had stents placed in Right Coronary Artery a couple of times. Now, here we go again. Severe Chest Pains led me back to my Cardiologist for evaluation. Guess what? More Blockage, AGAIN. Oh Yes! I am very spiritual, with tons of Faith! I HAVE to be here, to watch my Lily grow! Only God has HIS reasons for why things happen to all of us. God WILL have the Last Word. I have to leave it ALL in HIS hands. My family doesn't deserve this. They are all so wonderful! So Tomorrow, I will find out if MORE stents will be placed, OR, a full blown Open Heart Bypass Surgery. Yes! I am scared to death!
