Been playing terraria, which if you didn't know is basically a 2D minecraft. It's a good game though, and I know I'll get flak for saying this, I find the recently released Xbox version to be better than the PC one. (Cue whining fanboys).

My reasons for this are the Xbox controls are very well programmed. Heck if they patched the PC version to support that control scheme it would easily level the field. The other reason being the Xbox seems slightly more zoomed in making it easier to see. Though that might be a result of a larger screen.

The Xbox version has content not currently available on PC but that doesn't matter to me since I've just started.

Now, it has so e great ideas like, if you cut down a tree, hacking at its base will fell the entire tree. Unlike MC where you have to manually cut the entire tree unless you have a mod installed. It has its fair share of cons though the two most glaring to me ar the floating demon eyes that attack at night and are near impossible for me to fight ATM, and the fact you can't sleep though the night, meaning for half your play through you're cooped up in your house. Best way around this I've found is building a mine from a room in your house. Meaning you can mine at night and avoid trouble.

The Large item stacks (stack size: 250) and a decent inventory size are handy for mining too.

All in all I'm looking forward to seeing what the game has.

Yes the Xbox is more expensive, but personally the control system is worth it, they are VERY good.
