The "position statement" of the EPISD District 1 (Bowie) trustee candidate, Omar Villa, that the "Kids FIRST" (ha!) PAC (that's the Shapleigh/Suzie anti-EPISD board PAC) endorsed.

Interesting proposals he posits. Based on this, some would say said progressive embrace and endorsement is understandable given Mr. Villa's views and plans, particularly as highlighted below.

"As an attorney who realizes the importance of proper legal consultation, I intend to expand the legal department of EPISD which will result in significant cost savings to the District, as has been proven in other governmental agencies. This, along with exploration of shared services with other districts or governmental entities could possibly save hundreds of thousands, if not, millions of dollars, which could be better utilized for the District’s primary goal, education."
