This afternoon Montecito Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Middle road. The resident returned home to find her bedroom charged with smoke. She promptly called 9-1-1. On our arrival we found that the bedroom, which was under renovation, had a pile of rags burning next to a large stack of wood flooring materials. Montecito Engine 92 personnel removed and extinguished the fire, and cleared the house of smoke. Montecito was assisted by Carpinteria-Summerland fire and Santa Barbara City fire. There were no injuries reported.
