ugh it was kinda irritating yesterday cause all day we asked mom if we could go to a movie and she said maybe so we waited and waited and finally got an answer! yes! we were going to Olympus has fallen at 1045.

this is how our day went:
Cruz had a 45 min nap at 330 woke up around 415 ish.
then we did some easter pics with him and he started to get a sugar rush so we took him to the arcade at dimond center where he played the basketball game and was really good and got a lil hoops thing with all his tickets then we walked 5 laps around the ice rink and got him a couple cookies for being a good boy.

well mom decided to go see a movie that started at 8 when she said she was going around 630! we got home around 715. so ross made some potatoes obrien for dinner for the 3 of us and then i took cruz outside to wear off some more energy and went to put him to bed around 930 to be asleep by 1030 to catch our movie!

mom didnt get home til 1015. the garage door, being right under cruz's bed woke him up. so we were almost late for our movie cause we did not get out of the house til 1040! we get there and were Almost told that we couldnt go in because it was rated R and ross forgot his id. but they let us get away with it.

then 5 min into the movie, 3 teens came in and sat right behind us loud as hell. as one got up to go get food and drinks I got wacked in the back of the head and the other two kept kicking our seats so ross said,"lets move cause these assholes behind us are being rude!"

15 min into the movie, and after we moved, somebody must have told security because they had come in and removed the same 3 teens for something and after the movie a cop car was outside with a tow truck removing their car from the parking lot!

after what was a very stressful day, ross and I had a wonderful night and got home safe! AND THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME!!!!

A little help from the group?

Someone on this Facebook page asked me what to do when you feel you have lost your connection to spirituality? After an exhilarating year of "seeing God" everywhere, this person has lost the thread, and has fallen into a depression.

It's a big question, and I wonder if I might open it up to everyone to try to help?

For my part, I wanted to offer these thoughts.

1) Please don't take depression lightly. Please go find someone to talk to — a therapist, a minister, a wise neighbor, a support group. Don't go through it alone. What may feel like spiritual collapse could be something else that's going on in your life — something that needs to be properly explored and examined.

2) Try to recognize that it is not really humanly possible to live in what the yogis call a state of "peak experience" at all times. A monk in India taught me to be mindful of those moments of exhilarating spiritual clarity, as exciting as they are, knowing that "instantaneous bliss can dissolve instantaneously." I, too, have floated high at times on the wings of divine connection, only to sometimes crash later. I don't chase those highs anymore. For me, it's been more important to try to find a steadfast path, a pace that can take me through my entire life safely, through all seasons.

3) Lastly, don't be so sure that God has lost track of you, just because you have lost track of God. There is still a plan for you, even if you can't sense it. I offer this poem, by Rumi, which has brought me great comfort at such lost times:

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
