Good Evening.Tomorrow{09/04/2013} will be a very historic and an important day to the people of the Republic of Kenya.Nakuru County being part of this,it is our pleasure to express my congratulations to Hon.Uhuru Kenyatta & Hon William Ruto as they take the Oath of Office of the President and Deputy President of Kenya Respectively. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility - a recognition, on the part of every Kenyan, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task ahead of strategically developing this country. To both of us who will be able to attend and those who will be watching the event through other means, lets maintain peace and create harmony.Thank You and May God Bless Kenya.

“So He said to him, ‘Bring Me a three year old heifer, and a three year old female goat, and a three year old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.’ Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, and laid each half opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds. The birds of prey came down upon the carcasses, and Abram drove them away. Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, terror and great darkness fell upon him. God said to Abram, know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years. But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with many possessions. As for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you will be buried at a good old age. Then in the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete.” It came about when the sun had set, that it was very dark, and behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a flaming torch which passed between these pieces. On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I have given this land…” - Genesis 15:9–21

God in and of Himself needs nothing and no one. He is Yahweh, the All Sufficient One, yet we find Him passing through the pieces while Abram does nothing but observe the commitment of God to His promise. When God passed through those pieces, He swore by Himself—and Himself alone—for there was none greater. Nor is there anyone more loving or more giving.

What is God saying in this? He’s saying, “My covenant is unconditional! The seed, the possession of the land, depends only on Me—not on you.”

This week, April 8 – 14, is national NCAA DIII week. In just one year the partnership between Special Olympics and the NCAA DIII has resulted in more than 6,800 NCAA Division III student-athletes from across the nation dedicating more than 55,000 hours of service to Special Olympics. They have also raised an impressive amount of funds for their local Programs. Thank you to our partners across Maryland including Hood College, Washington College and Salisbury University.

Very very sad news to hear about our good old Grantham girl Margaret Thatcher.I grew up with her being a strong and great leader. She was an outstanding Prime Minister who led a great & brave nation through times of trouble and heartache and our troops across the world to oppress un democratic invaders on our land in the North Atlantic.I appreciate she was very unpopular to a minority however strong outstanding leadership comes at a price and I believe since she stepped down the country has seen the demise of a great nation.
I raise a glass to the Iron Lady,God Bless Her.
