I enjoy the program "Touch" but they bummed me out with recent show as one character was playing another in chess. Black moved first (!) and the guy said, "Ah, pawn to king four." Then he pushes his white d pawn and informs the other person that he is playing the French defense. And to top it off, white was already missing a pawn--it was sitting on the side of the board and no way for it to have been taken. Kill me now.

Chess Tournament Monday, April 8, 2013

A reminder to all Chess Club parents that Monday, April 8, Westchester Chess Club is participating in ALL GRADE (including K players) Chess Tournament with Uthoff Elementary.

It will be held at Uthoff Elementary 1600 Uthoff Dr, Fenton, MO 63026 from 6 to 8 pm. There is a $2 fee for participation. Your child needs to wear his/her Westchester Chess Club shirt to represent Westchester.
ALL PLAYERS ARE WELCOME.

Congratulations to our Maplewood Chess Club!! They took 2nd place out of 25 teams in the K - 6 Chess tournament this weekend!
