Ok I went to see GI Joe last weekend and here is my review.
This is an action movie. A really bad action movie. I'm not sure what I expected but what I got was enough editing errors to break my suspension of disbelief into Planck sized pieces. The plot was, if it even existed, so bad that a five year old child could see through it. It had such inane contrived scenes that I can only guess as to the amount of drugs one would have to do before it even made sense. The highlight for me, besides the ending, was when they (SPOILER don't be mad at me if you read past this) killed Channing Tatum near the beginning, after wasting time developing the Duke character. This movie reminded me that Hollywood is now making movies for "The Jersey Shore" Generation, they should have had Snookie in a major role. Hey if you like bloodless violence and bad acting, combined with the tactical brilliance of a charging rhino, the most ridiculous junk science statements to ever be filmed (like for instance did you know your brain produces some kind of neurotoxin that paralyzes you when you sleep?), and so many clichés that you begin to wonder if there is actually even one original idea in the whole movie, then by all means waste your money.
