An eventful trip - turned up at Nottm station in good time. Waited, waited, periodically checking that the London train was on time to be told that once the trains on platform 5 had gone it would be there. 13:28 came and went - platform 5 still full of train. Asked someone else only to be told that unlike every other train leaving Midland Station for St Pancras the 13:28 always goes from Platform 4 - AND THAT IF I TURNED ROUND NOW I COULD SEE IT LEAVING BEHIND ME!!!!! So now I have to wait for the 14:02 which means that on arrival I have 15 minutes tops to get off, sprint down to the Eurostar check-in, through passport control & back up the other side and on the train before they shut the doors. To add insult to injury, the Eurostar is parked alongside the train I've just come in on! Made it just in time thank goodness and thank you to the lady travelling to Wellingborough who kept me from going stark raving mad!
