need a general price on a steering column for a 1994 Buick skylark...tilt wheel assembly is screwed and it is dangerous to drive...can ANYBODY out there point me in the direction of a good place to go to get one(NOT Pull-a-part because we have no tools) and a general idea of how much to expect to pay?? PLEASE??? Sent emails and messages so several mechanic "friends", but no one ever answered and I need to get this car fixed ASAP because Bill's next surgery is coming up fast...

Sunday Evening - Bangkok - Last Full Night Here

As they say...all good things must come to an end...though it's surely not the end of my personal connection to Thailand...I'm sure that this great country hasn't seen the last of me.

Had a great breakfast with my friend Jay and his family...then on to some more shopping back at MBK...this place is irresistible...and it was in full tilt max mode today...I went back for some more of these great little Beatbox speakers...a few small gifts to music loving friends. I also scored two sets of high quality earbuds...with the latest comfort and audio quality...one was from the Dr. Dre Beatbox line...and is really excellent...I say this after a few hours of not being interested in taking them off...excellent full range fidelity with some bass boost added...tastefully but effectively. The other set I got was fairly pricey at about $ 18. US...but they are $ 80. plus top of the line product...with built in mic and switch too. I think those will be cool with my next phone.

I also got a great haircut/buzzcut and eyebrows trimmed, by a stunningly beautiful Thai woman in a short skirt and 4" heels...all in a short 15 minutes...for only 180 baht...about $ 5.50 US...a lot better deal than the 400 baht I paid a neighborhood beautician last week for the same service...

I have gotten comfortable here...so it's sort of sad to pack it up and head back...but that's what is happening...off to South Korea just after midnight tomorrow night...six hours of flying followed by six hours of airport boredom...followed by 11 hours of double decker jumbo jet time (A-380)...to arrive back in the USA on the same day I left...just a few hours later...as I always say...timing is everything!

I hope to sleep on this trip...it will probably be a bit hurtful otherwise...Happy Sunday to all...
