It's official my next console will be a ps4 if I even buy a next gen console. I think I will be retiring back to the PC due to XBL and PSN being full of little over confident shits. On the PC I can mod my playing experience with the press of a button. Call me a faggot and I turn on god mode and ruin the game for you for the next 2 hours as I follow you from room to room stabbing you while you fire frantically at the invincible soldier. See that is a lot more fun than buying a console with a subscription service that sucks ass like XBL that forces you to pay for an update that the developer is giving away on the pc. LFD2 DLC everyone? I hated the PS3s controllers, they were made for children's hands (or Asians) the PS4s are a bit larger and that's all I really wanted. The Xbox is a money grubbing machine and I am really tired of its shit. If Gabe Newell wants to give me an expansion pack for free who the fuck are you to tell them we have to pay for it. Kerry retained their Division 1 status following a narrow one point victory over Tyrone in Omagh. It certainly was a game of two halves as Kerry, when wind assisted, completely dominated the opening half while on the turnover, the homeside threw caution to the wind and had Kerry under fierce pressure especially at the three quarter stage. When all was said and done however, a late Dublin equaliser in Ballybofey saw Kerry stay up with Donegal and Down dropping to Division 2 for next season.
Declan O’Sullivan and Ronan O’Neill swapped early points in Healy Park as Eoin Brosnan retired injured to be replaced by Brian Maguire, but then Kerry went on a scoring spree to land 7 points without reply in an eleven minute spell with 3 from Declan, 2 from Kieran Donaghy and one each from Colm Cooper and the busy Darren O’Sullivan to leave the visitors leading by 8 points to 1 after just 16 mins of play. Tyrone then hit 3 points themselves sandwiched between a Johnny Buckley pointed free and Kerry led by 5 with 10 mins remaining in the half.
A great point from Kieran Donaghy got Kerry back on track and further points from Jonathan Lyne and Tomás Ó Sé were followed by a goal from the An Gaeltacht man after a brilliant bout of passing in the 32nd minute. Colm Cooper completed the Kerry scoring with a pointed free before Sean Kavanagh replied for the homeside to leave Kerry leading by 1-13 to 0-5 at the break.
Johnny Buckley finished just over the bar immediately on the resumption when a goal looked on but a couple of lapses by Kerry at both ends of the field allowed Stephen O’Neill in for a Tyrone goal in 40th minute to kickstart a comeback for the homeside.
Johnny Buckley did point for Kerry with a fine effort in the 9th minute of the half but then Tyrone took control and similar to Kerry in the first half, they used the wind to good advantage kicking 6 points without reply, Conor Clarke getting two of those, to leave just 4 points between the sides with 13 minutes still to play. The intensity then seemed to go out of Tyrone’s play as Kerry, with the help of a few fresh legs, regained some control around the middle of the field, and were it not for the fact that they passed up at least 3 good point chances, two of those from frees, Kerry would have been in a far happier position as the game ran down. Colm Cooper did point in the 69th minute, Kerry’s first for over 25 mins, and after Sean Kavanagh reduced the deficit to 4 points again, Tyrone’s Mark Donnelly fisted to the net in what was the last action of the game.
