It was a fine day, in the month of May,
Oldham had beaten, Villa that day,
And by the next night, it was over and done,
We had beaten Blackburn, by three goals to one.

The first goal was scored, by young Ryan Giggs,
A breathtaking shot, a magic free kick,
The new George Best? i heard people say,
A fact undisputed, on this grand day.

The second by Paul Ince, we did sing,
Thanks to a pass, from Eric the King,
One Genius passes, another one scores,
Old Trafford erupts, with a deafening roar.

The goal was a beckoning, champions are we,
When up steps Gary, to score number three,
The best centre half, in Britain today,
Caps off the season, with a fine display.

City were crying, The Scousers upset,
A warning to Leeds scum, You've seen nothing yet,
With Wilkinson, Souness, And Brian Horton too,
The future looks glorious, Lets hope that it's true.

The last game at Selhurst, Completed the feat,
And who could forget that half time streak?
Victorious again, The league we had won,
Then back to Manchester, to enjoy all the fun

TODAY'S NEWS REVIEW
*The jockey who rode Saturday’s Grand National winner suffered a horrific fall 24 hours later. Ryan Mania rode surprise winner Auroras Encore to victory on Saturday’s race at odds of 66-1 but the following day he was racing at Hexham in Northumberland when his horse, Stagecoach Jasper fell.
*Britain’s first youth police commissioner has apologized for posting messages described as violent, racist and homophobic on Twitter. Seventeen year old Paris Brown was announced in the £15,000 a year job last week.
*Groups like pagans, vegetarians and ecologists should have their beliefs respected at work along with mainstream faiths, according to European advice to employers. The Daily Mirror claims it means druids would able to get time off to observe rituals and make pilgrimages to mystical sites such as Stonehenge.

Sheffield MP Nick Clegg has come under fire for taking a luxury skiing holiday as fresh benefit reforms kick in leaving many struggling households facing shrinking incomes.

The Deputy Prime Minister has spent a week at the exclusive Swiss ski resort of Davos, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Liberal Democrat leader reportedly stayed in a 20-room £7 million chalet owned by his parents.

Len McCluskey, general secretary of Unite union, said: "His skiing trip will rankle with people struggling with whether to spend on eating or heating this week.

"And while he's been sleeping in luxury, hundreds of thousands face losing because of the Coalition's cruel bedroom tax.

"Once again, this Government wastes no opportunity to remind us that they have little care or concern for struggles endured by ordinary people."

Statement by His Grace Bishop Angaelos, General Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United Kingdom following the attack on the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate in Cairo on 7 April 2013

While the Arab Spring and uprising in Tahrir Square were expected to bring about a fresh start for Egypt, the only true difference is that the situation seems to have become progressively worse for many millions of Egyptian citizens.

Today, Egypt saw an unprecedented attack on the See of the Pope of Alexandria, the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate in Cairo, by mobs, with the police arriving far too late and doing very little, if anything at all, to prevent them.

Reports have indicated that Egypt’s president, Mr Mohammed Morsi had made telephone contact with the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St Mark, saying that ‘the protection of the lives of all Egyptians, Muslims and Christian, is the responsibility of the state.’ It is now clear that the state needs to take that responsibility far more seriously.

We have seen escalating and increasing attacks on Christians, Christian communities, churches and now the Patriarchate during this past period of expected improvement, and so questions must be asked. What are the authorities waiting for? More bloodshed, violence, hostility, alienation, marginalisation, division, or just more anarchy? It is clear that without intentional, pragmatic and proactive leadership by the state, and the effective law enforcement by its security forces, that this pattern of increasing violence and lawlessness is the only possible outcome. With these incidents being dealt with in this way, we see a growth of expectation of impunity and thus encouragement by some to continue breaking the law while assured that they will not be held accountable.

Last year, the streets of Abasseya around the Grand Cathedral of St Mark saw many thousands of Egyptians, Christians and Muslims alike, standing to pay their respects at the departure of our late Pope Shenouda III. Now those streets see an attack on that same Cathedral. So what has changed, and how can we return to the collective pride, passion and faithfulness of Egypt that we saw in Tahrir Square in 2011 with the thousands flying Egyptian flags, and calling for a unified state for all Egyptians?

We pray for Egypt because we believe that Egypt, as blessed by God, still has a chance. This chance however, hinges on faithful, pragmatic and visionary leadership, otherwise these coming months and years will only introduce more heartache, bloodshed and division that will inevitably lead to the decline of the nation, that was once the birthplace of civilisation, and its individual members.

"I am not demanding anything from anyone; this is a spiritual fast. I am refusing the necessities of life; food and water. I am praying and meditating constantly for the creator to show mercy and compassion to the people of the world of all colors and races. I am praying to bring down all the préjudices, and all the boundaries that have separated the people of this world.

I am seeking intervention, mercy, and compassion that the differences that are arising from these treaty relationships between First Nations and the Crown be restored.

I am praying that the two nations of Canada; First Nations and the Crown start seriously working together on a Nation-to-Nation basis. That is what I pray for on this fast. It’s a spiritual fast.

As a Grand Elder have a duty and an obligation to always live by the sacred teachings that have been handed down by the First Elder, our Creator; I pray for people regardless of race, creed, or belief. I pray that people work together for the stability and cohesiveness and well being of all common men and women. I pray for this world to aspire to work together. And that is what I’m doing on this fast without food and water.

I encourage everybody to always aspire to come from the same respect, to always come from the natural laws of life; for that is the real red road. These natural laws are; respect, honor, humility, honesty, truth, courage, and wisdom. These seven natural laws are intertwined, they are in balance. One cannot go without the other, they must always come as one, for when you break one, you break them all. Not only do you break them with the creator, but we also break them with ourselves, with Mother Earth. So I encourage you to always come from that respect."
Grand Elder Robinson
