I have a great story.
Years ago I had a guy call me and say, "tony 3 of your sons just jumped on my son and best him up pretty badly". I said, Buster, let me go and ask them what happened. I ask the kids did you jump on anyone? Colby said, "no dad, that kid kept hitting Cory in the head, and Cory beat him unconscious". I tell buster that and hang up.
The following day I had to meet at the school and busters wife was there as well. The principal asks everyone what happened and said I'm gonna suspend both from the bus for 3 days. The mom says, " wait a minute, look at my sons face. He looks like he's been hit by a car". She looks at me and says "I ought to expect this from you." I'm like...me? She goes on to say my son started it for sure but you're son didn't have to beat him senseless. I still didn't say anything. Then she says, "I'm gonna have my older son do to your son what was done to mine". I then said, "if you send your older son over to Cory he'll come home with the same ass whipping your younger son just got". She then said her husband was gonna come and get me. I waited until he arrived and he never made eye contact as he walked into the office as she was prodding him to say something. I left. The moral of the story.... If you let your kid be a punk don't get mad when someone spanks him for you. Because my philosophy is never start a fight but you better damn sure end it. And most times what you think just happened probably didn't. 3 kids didn't jump on him. It was just one. But it was one that didn't need any help. I wrote all that to write this....if your son starts something and somebody pops him in the face, don't embarrass yourself or your son by blaming someone else.
