Just got tossed by the most Mickey Mouse umpire I have witnessed. Called a catcher's balk because said catcher, who was standing up, gave a signal to the pitcher who was off the rubber. Lol! I hadn't even given the signal for the pitch. So when i told him he was wrong because the catcher hasnt been given the signal yet he tossed me. Haven't been thrown out of baseball since UTC vs Shorter 1982. What a joke a catcher's balk by a bush-league umpire I plan to introduce you to.

Bowl-A-Vard Year End Results
Congratulations to Jonathan Schalow on winning the MAST year end tournament! Schalow defeated lead qualifier Jay Heinzelman in the title match, 258 to 227. Schalow received $1000 for the win while Heinzelman received $800 for second place. Schalow qualified second and beat out 3rd position Cody Ramsden, 256 to 201. And previously Cody Ramsden defeated Chris Gibbons, 247 to 214, in the first step ladder match.
The final tournament was held on the USBC Open singles/doubles shot. Forty bowlers competed and it took a score of 1668 or better over eight games to qualify into the top 12 and match play. Ramsden was lead qualifier bowling 1785. One honor score was bowled by Gail Myers Jr. A 300 his last game put him in the 8th qualifying position.
On the second day of the tournament, the top 12 qualifiers bowled 11 games of round robin match play followed by a 12th game position round. Heinzelman led the day with a score of 4636 or +636 over the total 20 games bowled. Schalow finished at +553. Ramsden jumped both Brent Ritchie and Gibbons in the position round to end 3rd at +446. And Gibbons took the remaining spot at +430.
Mike Hoffman had a most impressive season winning 5 of the 12 regular season tournaments. Not surprisingly, he was the high point earner and received $500 for his accomplishment. He also held the high average of 228 for 11 tournaments which earned him an eagle trophy. Congratulations to Mike!
The MAST would like to say a BIG thank you to Badger Pro Shop for their support of the entire season. Along with all their ball donations, Jim Wipperfurth added $1000 directly to the prize fund of the year end tournament.
The MAST would also like to acknowledge and thank Jess Parizo of Street Rags for his donation of the trophies for each tournament, including the eagle trophies for the Year-end champion, runner up, and high average winner.
Thank you to Bowl-A-Vard Lanes for hosting the year end tournament and adding $232 to the prize fund from reduced lineage.
And finally, thanks to all the bowlers for a great 25th session! The MAST 2013-2014 schedule will be posted in August.
