Does anyone have any suggestions for cheering my son up. He is very low and is refusing to leave the house or have friends over. he is worried about disappointing his friends; Angry at me and verbally aggressive to everyone in the house. he is lonely and unhappy but I cant get him interested in any of his usual favourites. I have contacted the GP to chase up our referral to look at the diagnosis of Aspergers; the doctor just said that it was my parenting that was the problem. I do not want to be completely isolated for the holidays; but not sure I should push him into seeing people. I would like him to have his best friend round; but he is anti any visitors.

* John Riccitiello has stepped down as the CEO of EA after a strong 6 year run. John claims that financial underperformance by the gaming superpower is the reason for his departure.
* EA plans on incorporating micro-transactions into each of their future games for the foreseeable future.
* In more EA news, those who purchased the recently released Sim City and experienced its embarrassing launch problems are eligible to download one of ten free games offered by the publisher. The possible games include big names like Battlefield 3 and the recently released Dead Space 3.
* Nintendo recently lost a patent related court case in relation to the glasses free tech of the 3DS. Nintendo will have to pay 30.2 million dollars in damages but are free to continue distribution of both the 3DS and 3DSXL.
* Pokemon Rumble U has been announced as a downloadable game for the Wii U. Just like Spyro Skylanders you will be able to purchase physical toys that can interact with the game making it the first to utilize the Gamepad’s built in NFC chip.
* Saints Row 4 was revealed and will be arriving in August
* The moneymaking Resident Evil film series will see it’s sixth instalment next year

One Direction star Harry Styles has been recording a series of songs on his own.

Friends say the 19-year-old heart-throb has co-written several of the numbers which he hopes to release on a solo album.

He has worked on early versions of the songs during visits to the renowned Paramount recording studio in Hollywood. Harry made his latest visit last week on a break from the group’s sell-out world tour.

“He loves messing around with some of the new songs he’s been working on,” ­confirms a close pal. “He’s bounced some ideas off his friend Ed Sheeran and has ­already laid down some vocals.”

But 1D fans shouldn’t worry too much just yet. “Harry’s priority is obviously still with 1D,” said the pal. “But when he decides the time to go solo has arrived, he’s likely to have a project raring to go.”

One Direction signed a watertight three- album deal with Simon Cowell and his bosses at Sony after they finished third on ITV's The X Factor in 2010.

Harry and bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have since raked in £100million. Merchandise and endorsement deals include Nokia phones, Pokemon games and Hasbro toys.

Harry absolutely loves getting naked. He said: “Stripping off is very liberating, I feel so free.” He's also been expanding his knowledge of culture thanks to the band's global success. Maybe he's got a Brazilian?
The band have released two of the three albums – but reports claim their contract states all five members face financial ­consequences if one decides to quit.

Despite the incentive to stick together, Harry remains the biggest star of the group. Last October Robbie Williams said he would be surprised if Harry was not beginning to contemplate a solo career.

Robbie said: “I remember being 21, seeing George Michael, who’s 10 years older, and thinking ‘there’s a vacancy there’. So there must be a Harry Styles looking at me going ‘he’s over the hill now’.”

Harry tweeted a picture of himself in LA last week, sunning himself by a hotel pool. The star revealed he had spent the early part of the week with his family in Cheshire where he celebrated the Jewish Passover.

Harry arrived back at Heathrow on Friday to continue the 1D tour. A band insider said: “The boys get on amazingly well considering how much time they spend together.”

A source close to the band yesterday claimed Harry had been in the studio working on songs for the band’s third album: “The boys always split off and work on ideas for the album. They did the same last time.”
