What's so significant about these Pokemon?
Other than the 3 starters and Genesect, they all appear battling in the X/Y Trailer, the Sylveon reveal Trailer, and the New Mewtwo form/Mewthree Trailer.

What else is significant? The rest only evolve once, excluding Audino, Zangoose, and Cloyster who don't evolve at all.

With the exception of Krookodile, Litwick, Dratini and Machamp, the only ones with the most basic evolutionary lines. (evolves twice, no branching or gender differences)

What I'm saying is, Gamefreak is sneaky and unpredictable.
