2013 World Championships: DAY 2 RESULTS

A new Overall World Champion was crowned at the 2013 World Sport Stacking Championships. Josh Hainsel, representing Team USA, earned top honors with a combined time of 9.887 in the 3-3-3 (1.709), 3-6-3 (2.078) and Cycle (6.100). The 12-year-old from North Carolina was joined on the podium with Kennard Gardner whose combined time was 10.252 seconds and Team USA’s William Orrell's 10.277 seconds, taking second and third respectively.

The fastest girl of the tournament was Jill Claas from Team Germany. The 18-year-old’s combined time was 11.194 seconds (1.880 in the 3-3-3, 2.446 in the 3-6-3 and 6.868 in the Cycle). Taking second was Rachel Nedrow from Team USA, and third place honors went to Team Canada’s Jackie Huang.

A highlight of the Stack of Champions was a new Overall Girls' World Record in the 3-6-3 by Team USA member Anna Smith with a time of 2.237 seconds, beating the previous record by .013 seconds.

The 2013 Stacking Championships wrapped up with the Speed Stacks International Challenge. Once again, it came down to Germany and the USA battling it out for international bragging rights in a Head-to-Head Cycle Relay. Coming out on top for the 6th time was Team USA taking home this coveted trophy for another year. In 3rd place was New Zealand and 4th was Chinese Taipei.

This year’s event drew nearly 250 stackers representing 16 countries, who gathered at the Embassy Suites Convention Center in Lake Buena Vista South. Congratulations to all of the stackers who competed at this year’s World Championships!

"The missing watch"

There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him. After searching high and low among the hay for a long while; he gave up and
