DANVILLE – Danville Area Community College pushed across a run in the 10th inning to beat Lincoln Land 13-12 in the first game of doubleheader, and scored in the sixth of the nightcap to win 4-3.

In the opener, shortstop Mark Keller (3-for-6 with four runs) singled with two outs and, after another hit and a walk, scored the winning run on a passed ball.

The Loggers’ Jake Ingold and Jake Lance each had three RBIs, and Jarod Pellman and Carter Pranger each had four hits.

In the nightcap, Tyler McKenzie led off the Danville sixth by reaching first on a hit batter and went to second on a wild pitch and took third on a ground out. He scored on a double by Trevor Jennings, his second hit and second RBI.

Max Rhodes collected half of Lincoln Land’s six hits and scored two runs. Ryan Aper homered leading off the game.

So there I was, backed into the corner of a San Jose nightclub that was owned by Anni's cousin. I was just a young man at the time, a young man with a lot of hope and more dick than I knew what to do with. Let's rewind a bit.

It had been a good day. We caught a Giants/Dodgers game with one of Anni's whore friends, followed by dinner with my man Ethier. I think Anni had her whore liquor me up at dinner, because next thing I knew, I was taking shots of Jameson, as Anni's whore friend almost got us kicked out of the restaurant for excessive profanity at whorish levels. I think I've made it clear that this woman is a whore, and I don't like her. Anyways, as the shots of Jame-O indicate, I had been drinking, against my will, all day long. Fast forward.

So there I was, backed into the corner of that nightclub. Taking advantage of her cousin's ownership, A-Bizzle continued to shove drink after drink into my face, until I could barely speak. But it wasn't until the roofie kicked in, that she decided to bring up the direction of our relationship, while holding a switch-blade to my throat. Long story short, I walked into that nightclub with nothing but a great outfit and my dick, and left with a girlfriend. Six years later, that roofie and switch-blade have turned into a Yorkie Poo, a beautiful little son, and a daughter on the way. All rape aside, I couldn't be happier with the way my life has turned out. Happy Anniversary to my little rapist. I love you!

Setbacks, Breakdowns, Struggles, Mistakes = SUCCESS!!!

So, how are things looking for you now that the first quarter of 2013 is in books? Yep, the first quarter of 2013 is already over…can you believe it?

Have you looked at those New Year’s Resolutions you set 3 months ago lately? I know you don’t want to do it, but go ahead and pull them out and see how you are doing. Hiding from them is not going to make your life any better.

How about your 2013 Business or Life Plan and Goals? How is that working out?

The New Year is like the start of any game or venture. We are always fired up……we are full of energy and enthusiasm to conquer the world when the whistle blows signaling the start of the game. Then it happens.......setbacks, breakdowns, struggles and mistakes. It happens to all of us. Then doubt enters our mind whether we can really do it……whether we can really win…whether we have what it takes to stick with it. Candidly and unfortunately, most revert back to their same old bad habits and quit when the going gets tough…unfortunately most people have conditioned themselves over years of doing it to give up when it gets hard. Most would rather not do the hard work and battle through it but instead grab the proverbial bag of Cheetos, hit the couch and flip on the tube.

Pushing through the pain of failure and breakdowns that ultimately leads to massive success is not easy, but it can become as natural as giving up is to most people. It just takes changing your mindset, reconditioning yourself to embrace it and doing it consistently in all the areas of our lives. It will not happen overnight but if you redefine yourself as the person who pushes through it and never gives up you can do it…the more you push through the pain and feel the success that comes as a result, the more you will become addicted to it. In a sick kind of way we have to almost want it and like it…BRING ON THE PAIN!!!!!!!

Look…if there were not setbacks, breakdowns, struggles and mistakes there would be no growth or improvement…and without growth and improvement there could never be success. They are the ingredients of success.

My challenge to all of us, myself included, is to pull out those New Year’s Resolutions and those 2013 Plans and Goals…then get back up on the horse, EMBRACE THE PAIN and SUCCEED!!!!!
