Just this weekend, while shopping at Greenstar, I saw a bag of Xylitol for sale. To be honest, I didn't realize that it was sold in bulk. I have known of Xylitol for several years. It is the sweetener most commonly found in sugar-free gum and mints. It is also found in toothpaste and sugar-free candies in general. Like most sugar-free sweeteners, it carries a hidden problem of causing "gastric distress" in humans, which is a nice way of saying "really awful cramping and diarrhea". It also causes gastric distress in dogs; but far more seriously, it can cause hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, or, in severe cases, can cause liver failure. Sometimes, you will not even realize that your dog has developed a problem with hypoglycemia until after liver failure has begun. Instead, lethargy and vomiting will begin with other, less obvious, symptoms. It can be fatal, so if you believe that Xylitol poisoning has occurred, contact us immediately. If we are not available, you can contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435.

Day 1
At 12pm, our crew will pick you up from Abdurachman Saleh or Malang Train Station. This is where “The Adventure” begins! We will have a typical Malang lunch… and a tour around the Malang City. After the tour, we will go to the breezy highland directly to ‘KampungLumbung Hotel & Spa’ located in a secluded area with a touch of uniqueness and romantic nuance. After check-in, we get ready for the 3 warm-up activities right away. After “Kampung Dinner” there are 2 choices of activity (based on program choice), then we take a break to recuperate for 2 more non-stop action days.

Day 2
At 7am, there will be morning call for breakfast at the hotel. After that, get ready for “The High Impact Outbound”. After dinner, there will be an award session called “Kampung Award”, and at 10pm it’s time for recuperation once again.

Day 3
Exactly at 1.00 am, we will wake you up for the journey to mount Bromo. After we Checked-out, we will take the “Ngadas” route to get to Mount ‘Penanjakan’. Penanjakan is the ultimate spot to witness the beautiful sunrise. In addition the great view of Mount Bromo and its surrounding is also in sight from the height of 2770m above sea level. Bringing a jacket and a camera is a must. After witnessing the picturesque view of the sunrise, the “Bromo Adventure” journey continues and we will drive through heavy terrain with a jeep. The rest of expedition to“Puncak Gunung Bromo” will be a horseback ride to the top. Around 8 am, we will eat breakfast [in a box] and ultimately we head back to Malang. On the way, we will stop by for Malang’s typical souvenirs/”oleh-oleh”. We will arrive at Abdurachman Saleh Airport around 12 pm and we will head home. Jakarta or elsewhere. End of the Adventure!
