Only Golden Miller in 1934 and L'Escargot in 1975 have previously achieved the feat.
At 12 years old, Imperial Commander is the same age Red Rum was when he won his third Grand National in 1977.

Taking a chance in the opening race tomorrow on the progressive L'Unique. 3rd in most recent run, a Grade two event at Kempton she may find this a bit of a stretch but Alan King has every confidence in her, having not run her at Cheltenham, "she has benefited from the extra three weeks and I could not be happier with her. I am sure that her best days are in front of her and she could be pretty exciting next season, but I will be disappointed if she is not in the first three."
Silviniaco Conti was in the process of running a massive race before crashing out three fences from home in the Gold Cup. The seven-year-old won his previous four races, including the Betfair Chase at Haydock where he beat 2011 Gold Cup champion Long Run. He won the Grade 2 Mildmay Novices' Chase in impressive fashion over this C&D last year and all considering he has something in hand on official ratings for this event.
The New One was a hugely impressive winner of the Neptune Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham and its hard to look past him again today. Won Grade 2 bumper here last April, and most progressive over hurdles, showing smart turn of foot to smash the Neptune beating Rule The World by four lengths.
A chance is taken on Boxer Georg in the Fox Hunters Chase over 2m 5f in which he was second last year. He is a natural over these fences and the ground should be ideal for him.
The Fox's Decree comes into this in decent form following a 'jumpers' bumper' success at Southwell last week and he has leading claims back over hurdles today
Guards Chapel is 3lb better off at the weights for his one and three-quarter-length defeat to the reopposing Hoonose at Wolverhampton last month and Gary Moore's charge can reverse the form.
