March 9th started our adventure to Pico Bonito staying in The Cieba Tree Lodge. We were met by Ana (who stopped at the grocery store allowing us to provision for the week), with a patient and helpful attitude. This attitude carried across the week especially when a cold front decided to join us...for almost 5 days. While it poured the staff worked full tilt to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. Extra blankets arrived, Ana made a pizza when the kitchen was closed, staff would both deliver and retrieve our dinner meals and dishes...the little things that larger resorts fail to offer, the personal touches that make memories. Richard too while not on property for our stay was watchful ensuring the Internet access was maintained. Even on a rainy day it was fun to walk the grounds, hear and see the water rushing in the river. The Villas Pico Bonito you see in the photo are consistant with what will greet you and more...Toucans flying in the wild, flowers in bloom everywhere. This is an excellent ecotourims experience...
