>>>WHAT DO YOU THINK<<< So I was at a church today and the pastor spoke on our call to be witnesses for Christ and what that means for us. I think I'm on board with the basic thrust of his message but... He said a few things that I have issue with.
1st he said that the only reason we as Christians are here is to be witnesses. Is that really our primary role?
2nd he also said that because this is our only role then if we are going to be involved in politics, academics, work, sports or anything our only reason should be to witness to those we come in contact with in those fields ( as opposed to seeking to make political change, seeking to discover new knowledge, working for a pay check to provide for ones needs, to develop skills and talents ect. I'm not sure I could disagree with this more, what about you?
