Tonight Deb and I walk through the Gettysburg cemetery at night. First of all i do not believe in ghost or things like that. BUT there were two large statues of men on horseback in a way they were guarding the cemetery on top of a hill. We stood there for some time and stared at them and the surrounding landscape. I saluted the one and thanked them. He turned his head and looked back at us. It appeared that his upper torso slanted back as though he was speeding up his gallop. I did the same to the other and his one arm moved up as to return the salute. It was awesome and we both saw it and YES we were SOBER... Thanks Ken Ramey Weitzel for telling us about the cemetery..

A real speech from a real statesman and patriot. He even said the words "...nation, under God...".

Any words for our Honored dead in Bengozi? A much smaller battle in a war with a foggier goal in a different century, but they are honored dead Americans none the less. Where are the words?

Oh, and when it came to the Gettysburg Address, Lincoln actually believed the words he spoke.

Do our people in power ever believe anything they say in public today?

Bought dog food. Big cans of Alpo were on sale. Dogs ate filet mignon-flavored (how do they know?). Saw Jake Westbrook and started to recite the Gettysburg Address in public. Went across the street and I ate a chicken pot pie.

Sunday morning on CBS this morning made me cry. Not that its hard to do but it was unexpected. the piece on a teacher who had his students act our the battle at Gettysburg battle. The dressed in uniform, were given ranks and wooden guns, had tents set up and did this for 3 days every year. When they marched into battle, he tapped some kids and they fell to the ground, he had them stop, turn and look to see their fallen classmates, if this had been a real battle they would be dead. the elementary school kids got it. War kills people. WOW this teacher made an impact that they will never forget. I am impressed and it made me cry to see a 3rd grade girl moved at the thought of losing friends in this make believe battle. Kids will be our saving grace.

Good Evening,

Today is Monday April 8, 2013 and we were in Gettysburg and Lancaster County visiting the Amish. It was a beautiful sunny day about 70 degrees, just overall a perfect day! We had great weather great laughs and a lot of fun. This is a wonderful group… Tomorrow we start at the Rocky Steps and then go into Philadelphia and from there head down to Washington DC. The weather in DC is showing 75-80 degrees down there we will be wearing shorts!

Friends I need your help,
Steve has been so patient with my animal fetish,never complaining(rarely)about them so his Birthday is coming up and our 15th anniversery.I want to do something special for him.
keep in mind its for one day and poaasably overnight
help me brainstorm on an evening of fun.

maybe a bed and breakfast
beach get away
wish there was a car/gun/boat show in town
dinner for sure but where?

I dont no why im having such a hard time coming up with something special.

of course $$ is a factor and we have animals that will need to be feed day and night so if it is away from the house area ill need to find a animal baby sitter too.

my head is spinning PLEASE HELP
