I'm going to be a bit pedantic here. If Hermione fixed Harry's glasses using magic OUTSIDE of Hogwarts on more than one occasion, why did she not get expelled? they entered a small dim lit room. the girl looked around the place knowing not what it was. it was filled with so many things, big to small, weird to normal, distorted to organized. He led her to one corner. she was surprised about the fact that he had decided upon such a weird place to bring her for her birthday.
'come on! move your legs faster. you don't want to miss it!" he said as he pulled and tugged at her hand. she went and soon they were in a small clearing. 'lumos maxima!' he'd said and a big ball of light erupted from his wand and stood a few feet above them. with the help of the light, she saw a small table first. her eyes had not adjusted yet. and then, she could see a something resting on it. she couldn't make out what it was. she squinted and then, there she saw it. it was a BROOM! she looked at him with a broad smile upon her face. she had wanted a broom from a long time and her dad had refused. And to add to the awesome surprise, it was a Firebolt! She hugged him so tight, he gasped for breath. she pulled away and started jumping in her place squesking and saying something he could make out not. Then, unable to hold himself he put a finger on her lips and made her stop talking. Then,
' ABIGAIL! Calm down! I get you're too excited, but could you please calm down and tell me what you were from all this time?'
She took one or two short but brisk breaths and then squekes again, "HARRY!!!!!! THANK YOU SOO MUCH! OH MY GOD! I can't believe it!!!" after that, he could again make out none of her half eaten, half spoken and misspoken words. He just kept looking at her happy face and smiled. After her excitement had subsided to a certain limit, she asked in a calm voice, "What place is this?" "It's the Room Of Requirements." "And why did you choose to keep this here?"
"Because, this was like the only places no one would think of finding a Firebolt! And even if they did, they would think this is jinxed or something. As this place is for hiding unwanted and sometimes dangerous things." "Very clever." "Thank you."
And then, something made her go up to him and kiss him. He did not withdraw but instead kissed back. When they withdrew, she asked, " From how many days have you been collecting money?" "I don't need to collect money, my parents left me a lot of it. But then, yes! I did collect a little too. From i guess 3 months. that's all." "Hhmmm... OK.. let's go ride this! I'm too excited to sit on it! And IMAGINE! Me, riding my brand new Firebolt and racing after the Snitch like a dragon chasing a bird for a prey. And then, all the people sitting and watching me with awe. Oh God! That'd be AWESOME!"
"IF, you were to play in the matched, that is."
"Oh, don't worry! If i really want to play, i'll break one of your legs with this beak of mine." And she made her mouth the shape of a large eagle's beak.
"i keep forgetting you are like Tonks. but you look too weird!" And he burst out laughing. She went to a nearby mirror, and saw her face which was human-like apart from a curved beak which made her look hilarious. She got back to her original form and started laughing with him, a high pitched laugh.
