A lot of bitter reds coming on and saying we never earnt what we have achieved... As a supporter of a club with a rich owner I suppose it's hard fir us to fight against this accusation - but look at things from a different angle - would any club of broke into top four from mud table consistently (not on about a one off) without either considerable investment or a influx of super talented youth? I doubt it - would that talented youth of stayed or been bought by the rich top four? Is it right for the same top four to always get the champ league money and further distance themselves from the rest of league in terms of talent and finances - so if a rich man comes along and wants to invest to try and compete with these teams who've had the monopoly of the top four since the prem begun - is this a bad thing? Or does it add a spark to the prem? Of course I see the rags side they have 6.5 million fans worldwide? But have they earnt them or has there marketing just been spot on? You don't earn international fans they are meaningless except for money purposes most would change to support the next successful team - long winded but - without investment none of this would Of been possible and we couldn't if competed with uniteds financial power - but now we can - so is it more even ? - q

52 top judges to convene for Delhi mega judicial summit, hope to solve pendency & more-

24 CJs and 28 SC judges will converge on Delhi between April 4 and 7 with tall orders. A total of 24 high court chief justices and 28 Supreme Court judges will get together on April 5 and 6 in Delhi to discuss how to solve the pendency problem, reported the Times of India.

The judges will be welcomed with a dinner hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee on 4 April, and on 7 April more Delhi judges will meet with law minister Ashwani Kumar and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to discuss recommendations.

Top of the agenda is the question of how to crack the problem of pending cases.

Also tabled are the fast tracking of judicial appointments and the setting up of more fast-track courts, for which the central government had earmarked Rs 2,800 crore ($514m), according to the Times.

A Times source said that the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Altamas Kabir was targeting to increase the number of judges from 18,871 currently to more than 30,000 within five years, having written to all high courts to lobby for doubling the bench strength in their states. Supreme Court projections estimate that at least 75,000 judges will be required in 30 years as the number of cases would increase to 150 million.

The National Court Management System (NCMS) under Kabir last year had vowed to rid the courts of cases older than five years.

On the day of MLK’s assassination 45 years ago, I was 7 years old and remember all the women screaming and crying on our street. I grew up in the shadow of his final resting place on Auburn Ave since my elementary school, Our Lady of Lourdes, was right across the street. I would gaze upon MLK Jr.'s tomb each day as I walked to the YMCA & to my mom's workplace. If Dr. King were alive today, he would be appalled at the unemployment, lack of quality education, and level of black-on- black crime affecting our black community.
