My friends who I love from year to year, we have a tendency to change very quickly, than we have a tendency to have to maintain a lot of our friends as potential as a result of we have a tendency to have one step in determining the long-term. and that they are all too many who fall into the medical planet.

RESTART: Compassion and Justice Daily Bible Reading and Devotional Plan
Monday, 08 April 2013

READING:
Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. “But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. And so you will bear testimony to me. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. Everyone will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. Stand firm, and you will win life. (Luke 21:10-19 NIV)

DEVOTIONAL:
PERSECUTION

The path of following Jesus often leads to persecution. For those who’ve grown up in a culture of freedom and choice, it is easy to forget that there are places where certain decisions can result in oppression, exclusion, persecution, and even death.

Before his death on the cross, Jesus warned his followers that they would be persecuted by both religious and secular authorities. For some, their own families would turn against them. Jesus’ predictions came true in the lives of Peter, John, James, Paul and many others down the years who took a stand for Christ. Most of Jesus’ disciples were imprisoned, beaten, and eventually executed.

In North America, we may be scorned or ridiculed, but we are rarely arrested for our faith. In many countries throughout the world, however, thousands of Christians face terrible persecution. Many pay the ultimate price of faith: giving their lives.

In many sales advertisements, only the good aspects of an event are emphasized. Why do you think Jesus warns his followers about the bad—persecution to come? When have you heard about or witnessed the suffering of others for Christ?

Read about those who suffer persecution. How can you encourage those who undergo persecution for their faith? Request an e-mail prayer alert from an organization that works to help persecuted Christians. Pray: Have mercy, Lord, on those who are mistreated. Keep them strong and rescue them from death.

I dont usually address tribal attacks but for an aspiring presidential candidate to tell me "A Tumbuka is not and will never be an ideal choice for running mate" has probably put me off supporting any of these parties.. It is time people from the north realize we are being shortchanged for the contribution we give to Malawi.

The just shall live by faith…faith isn’t just something we have when we can’t handle things on our own, it’s a way of life. We know that having faith is what pleases God and God is the one who has given us the faith that we need to please Him – pretty good right? God doesn’t leave us unprepared or without the proper equipment. He tells us what it takes to please Him and then he supplies us – gotta love that.

I don’t understand where people get the idea that God is sitting up in heaven just waiting for us to fail or mess up. Moses told the nation of Israel that God set before them life and death, blessing and cursing. Then he told them “Choose life”. That was Jesus’ purpose – to provide the way of blessing – choose life.

“So don’t lose the courage that you had in the past. Your courage will be rewarded richly. 36 You must be patient. After you have done what God wants, you will get what he promised you. 37 He says, “Very soon now, the one who is coming will come and will not be late. 38 The person who is right with me will live by trusting in me.
But I will not be pleased with the one who turns back in fear.” 39 But we are not those who turn back and are lost. No, we are the people who have faith and are saved.” Hebrews 10:35-39

Again, choosing to live by faith brings reward. God is the one who promised it, our part is to seek Him and not give up. Believing that God will be faithful to His word; that what He has said WILL come to pass. And why shouldn’t we believe Him – He hasn’t lied yet!

The greatest miracle in the Bible was the result of a young woman’s faith. The angel came to Mary and told her that she would have a child. Mary asked how this could happen since she was a virgin and hadn’t been intimate with any man. (You all know the story). I love what the angel, Gabriel, said in response. “Nothing is impossible for God!” 38 Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant! Let it happen as you have said.” And the angel left her.” Luke 1:37-38

I want my response to God to be the same “I am the Lord’s servant. Let it happen as He said”. What are you facing today? NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE when we put our faith in GOD.
