If anybody has the PC to run it in all its Glory, Supreme Commander Gold edition is on sale for $5 on Steam. You should totally get this wicked game. I myself have poured thousands of hours into it. It is by far the best RTS game I have EVER played and you would be a food not to get it. A FOOL!

Consoles are really holding back gaming. If a game wants to sell well it has to be made with the xbox and ps3 in mind. These are like 8 year old pieces of technology. EIGHT YEARS OLD. Do you have any idea how much faster the top graphics cards are now than the ones they put in those? Think of how much better games would look if they were actually allowed to utilize the latest technology, i.e. if they were made for the pc. The pc is superior in every respect to a console for gaming. Why people continue to buy consoles is BEYOND ME. Absolutely 110% beyond me. I just played some mass effect 2 on my xbox because my computer is currently malfunctioning and let me tell you I can hardly stand to play it. I haven't played mass effect 2 for over a year, when I played it on pc and even though the game was completely optimized for the xbox it looks like a complete freaking joke. Just a total joke compared to pc. Pop in textures everywhere, blurry ass shadows I can barely stand to look at it. Consoles negatively affect gaming in other ways as well. Everything has to be "dumbed down" for consoles because of the freaking controller. Why do you think its impossible to make a good RTS game on a console? This is why there is no more TOP DOWN ISOMETRIC PERSPECTIVE in games today. The greatest perspective ever. I don't want to play a game with a first person perspective. That's no fun and EXTREMELY SIMPLE. I swear its like console gamers are So lazy, they can only do one thing at a time and looking at a map TOP DOWN is too complicated for them. They just want to mindlessly shoot things through walls like in call of duty. Consoles: yet another symptom of the dumbing down of society through increasing popularity. Once the masses gets there hands on something everything goes to hell.

Shit. I just remembered Age of Empires II HD can be pre-ordered on steam and though technically released on April 9th, is playable if you pre-order it now. One of my favorite RTS games. Partially because you and a friend could play as the exact same player in game, so one can focus on economy and one on military. Thus me and Alexander Wilson kicked some ass in that game back in the day.
