"How many girls received gowns?"
16 girls received gowns.. but over 30 girls were nominated, some received gowns for other people, or chose not to accept a gown from us or didnt meet graduation requirements.

"can I donate a gown or items?"
YES please pm us for the drop off address, or email pgdressdreams@yahoo.ca

"Who gets a gown?"
Any girl who is in Need, Graduating and has been nominated by a teacher, councilor student aid work ect

"Can I get a gown for this grad (2013)?"
No sorry we can not give out gowns after our dreams day as they go into storage and it is not "shopable" but check out https://www.facebook.com/events/553079688065797/ if you are in need this year and missed out on our big Dreams day

"Can I have a dress for my sisters wedding? "
No Sorry We give gowns to graduating Girls who have over come adversity. this is our way of rewarding them !!!

"where does all the stuff come from"
All items are donated, from individuals, stores and companies. Its amazing the generosity we have been given.

"what kinds of items do you accept "
-Dress and gowns that a Current Grad would wear to Prom or Grad dance
-Formal Shoes of all sizes and colours in Excellent condition
-Accessories (Necklaces, earrings , rings, bracelets, hair pieces , tiaras , hand bags , wraps , evening gloves )
- Personal Care items (Soap, shampoo, Conditioner, body wash, body lotions and creams ,perfumes, make-up , shaving razors, toothbrushes, mouth wash, skin care creams)

Wow, it has been a crazy last few days. Thursday night, I had to rush out of work to pick up Sweetie and bring her to the vet for surgery to correct her "cherry eye". She had the surgery on Friday and did great! She has a little shaved patch around her eye, and still has some inflammation but her eye looks much better. Friday was also the day that we committed to pulling Crosby (formerly known as "Pastel") and Sudie Wagner picked him up from Nash County Animal Control. It was a very crazy first 24 hours with Crosby, as he took a little while to adjust to his new environment...plus he's a little nutty with hormones...enough said; he's getting neutered tomorrow morning! But he a very sweet little boy and so handsome! Then today, I went and did a home visit for the couple interested in adopting Khaleesi and Sugar. (How wonderful is that, they were initially interested in Khaleesi and then decided they didn't want to break up these two close friends and are going to try to make it work with the both of them). The home visit went great! They are such nice people and have put forth so much effort to prepare for their new family members. Khaleesi will go to her new home tomorrow, and get settled in....then Sugar will join her in about a week. SO it has been a bit (well, a lot!) nutty but so worth it. Stay tuned to follow Crosby's progress...as well as Sweetie's. She now needs her spay and then she will be available for adoption! Crosby IS heartworm positive...so we will probably be fundraising for his care. Thanks for ALL of YOUR support!

im hoping there is someone who may have experienced this or have an idea of why shes acting the way she is. for the past couple of days, willow has acted as if either she doesnt know me and not interested or tht i did something mean to her. besides wht i wrote the other day, she has continued to act this way. this morning whn i fed thm, she was kinda ok. i put her halter one and tied her up to groom her. she was spooky here and there and i know shes feeling my weariness towards her now. aftr tht i walked her and trotted her. gave her treats as always. she did something at iggy who thn turned and kicked twice at her. i went to touch her and she walked away. whn i finally got to pet her, i patted her on her shoulder area and it was like she was putting herself in kicking bucking mode. afr iggy kicked at her those to times, i sed something to her and wnt to pet her and she turned her rear towards me but didnt react. i kept my distnce from her tho. the other day i went to scratch her belly (sat actually) and normally ive got her tied up whn i scrtch her belly but this time she whinnied and raised her back foot. i felt her upper leg hit the back of my arm. tonights feeding she really didt approach me like normal. i went to pet her nose and she backed away from me. i gave thm hay and whn she went to eat, i walked towards her and she walked away. thn she blocked me in whn i was trying to leave. i was unsure of wht her plans were. but i just started walking again. she did not act like this at the other pasture. jus here recently and they arrived on the 28th at my parents place. i trusted her there and up til a cuple days ago. now i dnt at all. he whole thought of even trying to get on her has flown out the window. i was gona order a cheap bridle but now im afraid to even try to put the bareback pad on her like i did a cuple days ago. the bond i thot we had is gone. idk y shes gone the opposite direction with us. i got her a barn to b in, no mud to stand in to eat, no other horses but her n iggy...i read the horses on ac4h bout being mountable and rideable and i think now..with her...tht doesnt look positive anymore. im afraid to even try to approach her in fear of her biting at me and actually biting me or swinging around and kicking me. i honestly dont know wht to do bout or with her at this pt. i try to act ok with her but thn she pulls tht crap and my fear comes out, depending on wht she tried. i actually had to tell my daughter to stay away from her last nite cuz her ears were back with her there. all hope tht i had of respect for each other aftr getting her home and being able to ride her is pretty much gone. im afraid to even comb under her belly like i use to. i was allowed to put the gel on her knees today but the thoughts of her misbehaving were in my mind. does anyone have any idea of why she has taken 8 steps back instead of 2 more forward? plz help me....
