The one thing in life that has me stumped the most is how to keep my cool with some one I love and care about that finds the need to always oppose anything I say, I don't mind unwanted advice if that's what it is, but this is not.....it is simply a opposing opinion in a attempt to make me feel wrong, and stupid!!. I would say 99% of the time they are deeply uninformed on the subject however the desire to be argumentative with me seems to out way any rational thinking. How can I deal with this in a way not to offend or make worse?...is this just a game of Devils Advocate with me or a way of belittling me for other reasons they may hold anger towards me, witch is certainly possible even understandable but this does not seem like a very structured discussion or intellectual process of any sorts other than bringing me down. While I do enjoy debating very much, I do not enjoy arguing which is emotionally based and usually ends in hurt feelings, anger, sadness, resentfulness or all of the above. A good debate should be stimulating and enlightening in my opinion. So does any one have any advice for me? In the best interest of my family I need to step up like a man and find a way to repair this relationship so the two of us can carry on a conversation with out it turning into a argument. I can honestly say I have never ever interrupted this person to correct them or oppose there opinion in any way, ever...nor can I even imagine doing so. Yet I get that on a regular basis. Anything I can do in a positive way to correct this before I come undone and say something I will forever regret.??

Yesterday in the 2nd inning of the Angel game, AM830 picked me, and announced my name during the game as the sweepstakes winner of the game. I got a call today from Angels Baseballs Marketing Director informing me I had won a 2 night stay, a round of golf, and dinner for 2 at the Palm Springs Fantasy Resort. Now I have to go to Angel Stadium to claim my prize. Another reason to go to a game!!
