Plot Summary for GI Joe: Retaliation (no spoilers) and Movie Review

A treacherous plant in the Oval Office who belongs to a secret society bent on world domination manipulates the population into believing that the most loyal protectors of their freedoms have betrayed them, and then uses his executive power to destroy these heroes. He then uses the momentum from this “tragedy“ to gain more power for the shadow group and terrify other nations into weak submission.

The survivors regroup, vow that they will not let America and the world fall under this dark shadow of tyranny, and then put together a plan to save the country and the world.

If you enjoy watching Bruce Willis and Dwayne “The Rock“ Johnson separately, wait until they team up to fight global terrorists!

Overall, they kept the war brutality more inferred than visual, which I thought was in good taste. The action sequences were fun, and the acting and plot were actually better than the first film. Even if you are not a child of the 80's who watched the original cartoons, this movie is worth seeing.

But remember, it's just a movie. It's not like a traitor could get into the White House and impose his will upon the people in real life, or anything...

TEMPTATION REVIEW...Wait for it to come on Redbox and go see GI Joe, The Call or something else. Heck, Scandal is more exciting than that movie IMO. Anyhow, it had a great "predictable" message/outcome, the acting was alright and Tyler Perry did a great job showing that the grass isn't always greener. I'd give it 3.5/5 stars but that's about it! Not to mention, I missed the Florida game because I went to see this movie with my fine (enter word here) wife! She owes me one now! LOL

FILM REVIEW: GI JOE RETALIATION: if you want a "bang-bang shoot em up" movie with absolutely no intelectual process behind it, then this is the film for you. The acting is terrible but i think that is irrelevant for this movie anyway (they might as well have saved paying the actors and just used the GI Joe action figures). I did like the whole megalomaniac-world domination concept though. I give it 6.5 out of 10.
