The Austin Hunter Memorial 5K is a non-profit fun run/walk to help raise awareness and benefit the family of Austin Hunter. We hope to reach out to the Midwest City Community and appeal to the running enthusiasts in the Oklahoma City area to come out and help support the Hunter Family and draw attention to the tragedy that is Teen Suicide. Fees are $25 for single runners/walkers 14 and over, $10 for single runners/walkers under 14. All proceeds/donations will go directly to benefit the Hunter Family. All participants will receive an event t-shirt and a meal catered by Iguana Mexican.

Location: Joe B. Barnes Regional Park Trails, 9555 SE 15th St. Midwest City OK. 73110 The parks Trail system is a an Oklahoma Runner Certified 5K course. This is a fun run/walk and as such no official event timing or records will be certified.
Event Parking: Century Martial Arts, 1000 Century Blvd. Midwest City OK. 73110. Parking around the park is limited due to ongoing Soccer Events. The Century lot is close to the Start/Finish Area of the Trail.

NFL Rule changes for 2013

Following rule changes were approved at the NFL owners' meeting on March 20, 2013.

Modifying the "no-challenge" rule adopted in the 2012 season to eliminate the automatic "no-review" penalty when a coach challenges a play that is automatically reviewed by the replay booth (turnovers, scoring plays, and any play inside of the 2:00 warning). Coaches will now be charged a time-out when a challenge flag is thrown on a booth-reviewable play (but they get the time out back if the play is reviewed and overturned) as well as a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but the play is still reviewed if the replay booth believes a review is necessary. This change was prompted after last season's Thanksgiving Day game when Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz threw a challenge flag on a play where Houston Texans runner Justin Forsett's knee touched the ground, but was able to get up and score a touchdown. The penalty then prevented the play from being reviewed, and Houston went on to win the game in overtime.

Abolishing the "tuck rule" adopted in the 1999 season. It will now be ruled a fumble when a quarterback loses possession of the ball after a pump fake while bringing the ball back to his body.

Tight ends and H-backs will now be permitted to wear numbers 40-49.

"Peel-back" blocks will now result in 15-yard personal foul penalties anywhere on the field. Previously these type of blocks were permitted within the "tackle box".

On field goal attempts, long snappers will now be considered defenseless players, the defense can have no more than six players on one side of the ball at the snap (5 yard penalty), and players not on the line cannot push teammates into blockers (15 yard penalty).

Any player at least three yards downfield or outside of the "tackle box" will be penalized 15 yards for leading with the helmet on hits. If both offensive and defensive players lead with helmets, both will be penalized.

Then there were times where I injured myself
for no reason at all and use it as an excuse because
Hugh Laurie and Jennifer Love Hewitt was there to examine us
for further injuries. I had to admit, looking at Nurse Hewitt was
a delight for sure… “Oh nurse would you cauterize me just a little
more to the left?”

Though did I tell you I had one amazing teacher for my P.E. class
on freshmen year and you know who it was? It was Larry Bird.
I mean there was two other teachers besides him but I ended up
with Mr. Bird first then we had to rotate and I ended up having
Mia Hamm who was into teaching us with dodge ball and soccer.
Senior year was different because I had to take weight training
and the man on the job at the time was none other than
Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger, humble guy he was though, but then I realized he wasn't because I met these three:
Jason Statham, Matthew McConaughey and Vin Diesel knuckleheads I swore.

I must say though I was into track and there I met
Grace Park, Bradley Cooper and Coach Will Smith.
Grace was an amazing runner, but she was way out there.
Bradley, however, encouraged me to go and be a part of it.
Although Coach Smith said I couldn’t and I looked too big anyway at the time.

Then at times I found myself wandering in the great halls
where I saw myself looking up to
Freddie Mercury, Matt Bomer and Neil Patrick Harris.
They were actually the Theater Guys!
Every show and during my years were sold out.
I mean they had a great cast of women
Drew Barrymore, Claire Dames and Nicole Kidman.
The men were as equal too
George Clooney, Steve Carrell and Chris Hemsworth
So I approached Neil one day and asked them how he
gets his women and he says just be yourself.

Although how I had wished to have been part of the
literature group because it was headed by the great
Zooey Deschanel and her sister Emily was there too
but I felt trapped because they were both great writers!
Zooey however didn’t like my writing…she told me she wouldn’t
publish it but deep down she loved it.
Her sister, Emily was cool, as she gave me ideas to this day.
