A man has been charged and a large number of firearms seized following a domestic-related incident on Sydney’s North Shore.
About 1.30am yesterday (Sunday 7 April 2013), an 18-year-old woman attended North Sydney Police Station to report that she had just been threatened by her former partner.
Following inquiries, police attended a home on Huntington Street, Crows Nest, about 10.30am and spoke to a 31-year-old man.
Police located and seized 19 firearms and a large amount of ammunition. The firearms were all registered to the 31-year-old.
Eight hydroponically-cultivated cannabis plants, and loose cannabis leaf, were also located.
The man was arrested and charged with a total of 12 offences.
He’s been bail refused and will appear at Central Local Court today (Monday 8 April 2013).

Having said that, I know that we have pro-life and pro-choicers here. The pro-choice argument is that they don't want the government to control their body. Heather made it through the gall bladder issue ok, but her fever got high. They began to take cultures, but can't find the source of it. With all that, we were advised she will not be going back to TIRR at this time. This does not mean at sometime she can't return, but not just now. So tired of hearing about the gay folks being allowed to marry. As much as I believe you should be allowed to be with whom ever you want to be with I do not like the idea of redefining "marriage". Speaking as a Christian with morals, Marriage was designed by God for a man and a woman to marry and have children. It seems like something can be done legally for the gay folks so their significant other can be recognized for benefits, etc. I am not against any American, gay or straight, black or white, Christian or non Christian, to have all the rights this country affords all Americans. Mine and John's parents will be married 60 years in June and we just celebrated 31 years as man and wife, a married couple. And that is sacred. I will probably catch some flack for this but there is a saying that goes like this: If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything. And I stand for marriage between 1 man and 1 woman. I have gay friends whom I respect very much, but to take something as sacred as marriage and redefine it is offensive to me. just sayin..............
