BioShock infinite... in short this game had absolutely nothing, NOTHING, in relation to it's predecessors.at.all. aside from controls, and your left hand having powers. The powers, save the last 2 are shit. The guns leave a lot to be desired, just like the powers.
Gameplay was OK, not much different there. Hit detection still needs work...
Plot...the plot. How to put this...I utterly hated, hated this game's story. Racism was rampant, and while I understand it was that time period, it was never a part of the other games in this series. The environments...didn't feel like BioShock till the second half of the game when everything goes to hell.

The ending...was the biggest crock of shit I have ever endured. I cannot help but feel that about 12-15 hours of my life have been stolen from me. The way they chose to end this made the whole thing feel like a time suck. The fact that she is your daughter...feels like a giant reach into the land of fuck. Of all the directions they could have taken it, the one they chose sucked balls.
Oh, I gave up my kid, but forgot I did it because of a bullshit plot, but it's OK just drown me.
Wtf.
4/10 fuck this game, no multiplayer and it goes back to GameStop tomorrow.

Two cent review of Bioshock Infinite......
For my money its been a near flawless game with outstanding mechanics, gameplay, and story. For a game releasing at the end if an era it delivers on the expectations. The partner A.I. Never got in the way and enhanced the experience without interfering. Not having Andrew Ryan whispering in your ear as you traverse a dark, spooky new world will always be missed, but the open air beauty of Columbia is superior to its dark counter part(Rapture) in all aspects but narration. The reality rifts are mind jarring and Columbia is utterly enthralling. With each Vigor having two separate abilities the variety of new and interesting ways to dispatch foes never gets old. I prefer using Vigors as much as possible, but the weapon variety is fun too, including those firearms unique to the world of Columbia. If you're a gamer then playing Bioshock Infinite is a requirement.

Let me begin this post by stating that I most likely will not play Bioshock Infinite. No particular reason; just not a game I hooked onto. Having said same, it seems that opinions on the game are widely opposed; some think it was great, while others think it was overrated. I read some of the spoilers and it brought to mind a similar (at least to me) controversy with Mass Effect. For those of you that have played and finished all the Bioshock games, I ask you: Does the ending make more sense to you having played and recalled incidents from the previous games? Not asking good or bad necessarily, just asking if playing the previous games changed your perception of the ending. I didn't have nearly the nerdrage that folks did over ME3's ending (Then again, I'm a grown-@$$ man who likes a good story and doesn't have that ridiculous sense of entitlement that some gamers do).
