Right Folks my thoughts for the big race....My tip after much thought is Colbert Station the reason is the horse fits the trends and McCoy has got off Sunnyhill Boy (2nd last yr..but 10lbs more this) to ride it....the thought is if its shaping better than SHB it going to go close with a clear round and McCoy on board.
The class horse in the race is Imperial Commander...won Cheltenham Gold Cup in
2010 but back it to place...is carrying a lot of weight 11st 10lbs ..not many win lugging that around Aintree... My other 2 are Ruby Walshes ride On His Own...which fits the trends I use...trained in Ireland by Willie Mullins who was on fire at Cheltenham 3 weeks ago...have a sneaky feeling this years winner will be Irish trained...My final selection is Tea For Three...trainer Rebecca Curtis could provide the first Welsh trained winner for many years with this, her stable is going well, and horse fits the trends ...in recent runnings winners have carried 11st 3lbs.. the changes to the fences have brought the top of the handicap into the race....Best Of British if you're having a punt...

1:45 utopie des hordes, didn't get a hard race at Cheltenham, drop back in trip can help her, good value ,can even back it e/w for safety.
2:15 overturn, flopped at Cheltenham, but ground was am excuse, this track and surface is ideal, and barring jumping misshaps im confident he will reverse the form with baily green.
2:50 smad place, got his ground tommorow and track suits, was still going well when fell behind big bucks last year in this race, and I'll probably back him e/w at 7/1 as its a very safe bet imo
3:25 cantlow, well supported ahead of its race at Cheltenham before being withdrawn, well weighted, but due to the withdraw im gonna throw an e/w shot in to cover I case its a farsical run from cantlow,
Johns spirit e/w, runs off the same mark as when beaten 9l to katenko, which was fancied to go for the gold cup.
4:15 GGRAND NATIONAL, ima give 3 selections for this race, firstly
Imperial commander, over 2 stone well in on its form 2 year ago, has aged but has he declined over 2 stone? Jumps, ground fine should stay,
On his own, pretty obvious choice but this was travelling like a dream before coming to grief in this ladt year, this has always been the target and won a nice little hurdle race to sharpen up for this.
Joncol e/w 50/1. Another horse that is very well weighted on best form, can see him taking to these fences and should stay.
5:10 lyvius e/w 25/1, finally has his ground after showing well for a long way in a race won by the well handicapped cause of causes in ground that was too heavy for him, owners love a winner at the track and think this could of been the target from the outset, seems well handicapped.

I for one am very, very sorry to hear of the extent of the injuries sustained by Irish Jockey J T McNamara who had a terrible fall at the recent Cheltenham Gold Cup Racing Festival.
JT has been in the Intensive Care Unit at the Frenchay Hospital in Bristol since his accident and Doctors today confirmed everyone's worst fears that surgery on the two fractured vertebrae in his neck was unable to prevent permanent Paralysis from the neck down.
A statement released by his family it is reported that he is in a positive frame of mind and is greatly appreciative of the many messages, cards and letters of goodwill that he has received.
I would like to extend my hope to JT for a speedy return to good health.
