BIt all started fourteen years ago, this kiddies outreach
A flurry of orange T-shirts on Zini's main beach.
The themes have been plenty from Cowboys to Space
All to teach our children about God's Amazing Grace
Now this year, Two Thousand and Thirteen

BEACH BLAST
Ahoy! Sailors, ships, a nautical theme for sure.
We prayed and we painted
and planned and created.
We sailed through the meetings, Good Friday was here
The sunrise was pretty, adding bunting for good cheer!
Yes 130m of flags which Ann and Heather sewed,
were beautiful in the breeze as they blowed.
Pastor Andre sadly was very sick,
Well done Malcolm and Bevan for taking his group over so slick.
Thanks to Warren, registration was done on the net
Karen made files, Deidre and team the kids met.

Start up games were managed by Nick
Who got the kiddies involved real quick.
Port and Starboard are the teams "go build your lair"
Water balloons soon flew through the air.
So very hot was the day.
Ben brought the ice lollies, yay!
The children sang with the piano accordion
All about God's love and our Salvation.
Spiritual lessons were learnt every day
To Trust, Believe, have Faith and Obey
Shelley's painting changed the deck into a stunning boat.
In the plays each sailor had a bright yellow coat.
The sailors were stupido, I mean silly
they soon saw the consequences of being dilly
Then they read the bible and lessons they learned
Rewind, go back, until safe at Anchor they earned.
Memory verses with Gail went down a treat
On Angie and Ann's big round boards so sweet.
Group time now, grab a brollie
To get sunburnt would only be follie.
With your leader chat through the day's story
Then we pray, all the time giving God the Glory.
Off to the church for Frith & Jaco's yummy lunch,
The leaders a Spirit-filled excited bunch
After so much more than a snack,
Ahoy, off to the beach we were back.
Survivor Mtunzini was the big game,
Battleships, walk-the-plank, flags writing a name.
Friday night we made a movie all about Jack,
Who had to dig deep in the patchwork sack.
The team worked hard but still there were gaps
God provided, He sent Cindy with 4 Captain's caps.
Heather deserves an Oscar for all of her editing
But all that she got was an Easter egg pelleting.
Saturday was drizzle and a little bit cooler
Pirate's pandomonium, Georg - those water pipes are off the ruler!
Tide fighting and sand sculpture as always a joy
Those are standard favourites ahoy!
Then Derek was Caller for the shipwreck shuffle
Theresa did you lose those three teeth in a scuffle?
Tania had known us for less than a week

Leigh-Ann & Jen fried eggs by the dozen,

Frank and Leonie's testimonies flowed
About God's goodness they crowed
The auction was hot
Parents gave a lot.
Sunday a fantastical celebration
of God's free gift of Salvation.
A Sunday service with Somine the Director's assistant of note
and Noah's weird animals crossing the moat.

Sunday night was about family and being in God's house.
Thank you Jesus, it was special and all for your purpo(u)se.
Monday, Ronald and Renata's hunt for treasure,
A glorious fun-filled pleasure.
Nicho, Tammy, Qune, Annie, Xolie, William, Tessa and Jess:
Teenager energy all weekend, was sent from Heaven to Bless
The tots tent was busy every morning long
Kim, Tracey, THREE SHEILAS?!?, All joyful in song!!!
Now we are done and all packed away
Awww, another year until we can play.

Had a great time this weekend in Bakersfield ... Went to see Casandra play softball and to celebrate her nineteenth birthday ... she hit two homeruns and played great ... it was fun at the hotel ... after going to dinner for Casandra's birthday we had a Easter egg hunt and for Diego, Juliana and Viviana and played a beanbag toss game ... I want to thank Renee, Lauren and Lance for coming out to see Casandra play ... thank you Lena, Mark, Eileen, Tony, Julio and Gabby for another unforgitable weekend ... thank you Audrey and your dad for coming out to celebrate Casandra's birthday with us ... love you all hugs and kisses :)

My son, Glenn Teal, has another fantastic weekend of bowling.

Saturday, Glenn finished with a 450 series at VEC. Tonight, during Sunday's Youth league at Surf. Glenn bowled his second 200 game this season with a 201.

His first 200 game was during his Pepsi Qualifiers, when he bowled a 204 at VEC.

Glenn is 10 years old and already have international experience. Next month, he will be bowling overseas in the Philippines for the Youth Program there.

He will be back before the Youth State Championship hosted by CUSBC in July 2013.

Last year, during the Youth State Championship, Glenn bowled for Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego in memory of his friend Mikael David Larson who passed away last Easter. The bowl-a-thon fundraiser wasn't very successful, but Glenn stated that he will not quit and will do another bowl-a-thon for this years Championship for Mikael sake. "No matter how weak or sick Mikael felt ... he never gave up and quit and neither will I."
