Should you be able to sue your university if you can’t find a job? We’re talking about this on Great Day because a southern California law student is suing his law school. The school claimed to have a 97% employment rate after graduation, but some students still can’t find jobs. Do you think schools are responsible for finding jobs for students if they boast their employment rate? Share your thoughts here and we may read them live on air.

Yesterday was a sad day for Greyhound Friends. After years of work, numerous consultations with our vets, and countless hours of soul-searching, we decided we had no choice but to euthanize two dogs who had both been with us since 2009. Yogi and Roller were loved and cared for by our staff and volunteers. Unfortunately, they had both attacked people who were not a threat to them. Their adoption options were, we thought, extremely limited. We tried everything from foster care to behavior assessment and training - numerous times. In the end, the options ran out.

Both dogs had been in homes with experienced greyhound people - and had to be returned due to their aggression. It was a constant concern that they would attack someone at the kennel, or bite someone if they were placed in a home. Greyhound Friends could not continue to risk the fallout from such an event, which could seriously injure someone.

The final decision to let them go was made on the repeated advice of our consulting veterinarian, who has been working with greyhound Friends for many, many years. He understands how seriously we take these decisions. It took over a year of discussions with him (and trainers, and the board of directors) to persuade us that we had no other choice but to let these dogs go.

Both dogs had happy experiences while they were with us for the past 4 years. They has someone who cared deeply about them to hold them at the time of the last goodbye. Ultimately, that is what we could could offer them. We did the best we could.

Greyhound Friends continues to have a "no kill" policy, except when medically necessary and in very rare cases when aggressive behavior makes adoption impossible. In our 30 years of operation, having moved thousands of dogs into adoption, we have had to put down only a handful. We remember them all, and we are sad for the way things ended with them.

I am sorry to say that not everyone who learns about Yogi and Roller has the perspective to understand why this outcome was inevitable, or to appreciate how difficult this decision has been. Perhaps they lack the desire or interest to learn the full story. Alarmist and even hateful posts are already circulating through greyhound circles on the internet. This just adds unnecessary bitterness to an already very sad situation. Greyhound Friends management staff and board are available to field questions from the public about this decision. We ask that anyone with concerns talk to us first, before reacting emotionally to unfounded accusations.

We thank our friends and the greater community for their ongoing support through this challenging time.

I have an announcement!!!!
I have not written any articles in any major magazines like Mens Health, or Muscle and Fitness, REPS, or Muscle Mag...and I am sorry. I was told there would be a loss of revenue streams based on my report of findings. This was explained to me personally. There would be a conflict of interest with all their major accounts / products / and marketing workout masters. You would not try the "triple-joint threat" that builds 2 inches on your biceps in 30 days...or the "explode factor" that brings veins rushing to the surface of your forehead. I am sorry- I guess I will just keep doing what I'm doing!

Some taxpayers may need to make estimated tax payments during the year. The type of income you receive determines whether you must pay estimated taxes. Here are six tips from the IRS about making estimated tax payments.

1. If you do not have taxes withheld from your income, you may need to make estimated tax payments. This may apply if you have income such as self-employment, interest, dividends or capital gains. It could also apply if you do not have enough taxes withheld from your wages. If you are required to pay estimated taxes during the year, you should make these payments to avoid a penalty.

2. Generally, you may need to pay estimated taxes in 2013 if you expect to owe $1,000 or more in taxes when you file your federal tax return. Other rules apply, and special rules apply to farmers and fishermen.

3. When figuring the amount of your estimated taxes, you should estimate the amount of income you expect to receive for the year. You should also include any tax deductions and credits that you will be eligible to claim. Be aware that life changes, such as a change in marital status or a child born during the year can affect your taxes. Try to make your estimates as accurate as possible.

4. You normally make estimated tax payments four times a year. The dates that apply to most people are April 15, June 17 and Sept. 16 in 2013, and Jan. 15, 2014.

5. You should use Form 1040-ES, Estimated Tax for Individuals, to figure your estimated tax.

6. You may pay online or by phone. You may also pay by check or money order, or by credit or debit card. You’ll find more information about your payment options in the Form 1040-ES instructions. Also, check out the Electronic Payment Options Home Page at IRS.gov. If you mail your payments to the IRS, you should use the payment vouchers that come with Form 1040-ES.
