WEEK FIVE: April 13th is the last day to earn your points to qualify for the 2013 Spring Midway Tournament. The 1st AND 2nd place person from each location and the top 40 Citywide will be invited to attend this tournament to play for a total prize pool of $3,000. The tournament will be held on Saturday, April 20th at Lillian’s @ 12 noon, so keep your schedules open. Everyone has a chance and it may just be you, so good luck to you all!

We’ll play POKER bingo for prizes starting about 30 minutes before game time, players will draw for a bonus chip, a “Travel Bonus” will be given to any player that came to the last featured location (Players on 3/23) and we’ll have BLIND trivia throughout the game for a free big blind chip. There will be secret bounties and a Visa gift card for the winner based on the number of tables we have. So come on out to Aaron’s and Stephanie’s games and let’s have some fun!!!

EASTER WINNERS – I’d like to thank everyone that came out to join us for our Easter festivities. By the end of the day, I think everyone was quite hyped up on candy and bouncing off the walls, but I think we all had a lot of fun. Who would’ve known that guessing jellybeans could be so hard? Rich Bafford, Garrett Strahl, Jason Feller and Tammy Leonard didn’t think so and each of them took home some treats and a $10 Walmart gift card for getting the closest to the actual number. If you’re hunting rabbits, get with Filip Scheraldi, Jason Feller, Catfish Siegel and Jason McKelvey because they found the special white bunny that earned them each a solid milk chocolate bunny and a $10 Visa gift card. Way to go!

RULE CHANGE – By popular demand and to ease some confusing issues, I have agreed to make a change to the rule regarding revealing your cards during an all-in moment. When a player is all-in and there is no further action in the hand, any player remaining in the hand must turn up their cards prior to the remaining cards being dealt. This is a common practice at all poker rooms and casinos, not to mention WSOP and WPT.

UP-AND-COMING EVENTS – The Billiard Education Foundation will be holding a special charity event “Poker for Pool” on April 27th at The Billiard Factory on University. Nine of their youth will be travelling to this year’s National 9-Ball Juniors Championship in Las Vegas to compete for scholarships. The event is being presented by our own Mel & Tammy Leonard and ran by the JPA. Details regarding cost and prizes will follow soon.
Stay tuned for more details regarding our Annual player appreciation event scheduled tentatively for May 3rd – 5th, when we’ll have 5 featured locations covering the 3 days with free promotional items available at each.
