Each spring, the US Chess Federation organizes 3 National Scholastic Chess Tournaments: The National Elementary, The National Junior High & the National Senior High. Every 4 years, the USCF combines these 3 National tournaments into 1 tournament: the SuperNationals. This year is the 5th SuperNationals. Zach Taylor & Connor will participate with more than 5,000 scholastic chess players all over the nation at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville... fun weekend with 7 rounds of chess (oh, and a baseball game thrown in on Saturday!)

So, apparently there was a kids chess tournament in Nashville this past weekend. 5,000 participants. And they are all late for their flights home. Scary.

With the way college basketball & football players generate millions of dollars for the University's but some like the young man Ware that broke his leg maybe will never get to the professional level! Should college ball players be paid while in college? Why or why not?
