Sadly, many Christians subtly express anger and rebellion towards God's Sovereignty; this is partly due to a devilish sense of pride and a surprising level of narcissism (sadly, birthed by an abused notion of 'knowing who you are in Christ ').

Many Christians want to 'create their future' and have control over their lives; this is not to be so; they want to use the divine power of the God head, given to them by His Spirit for their own purposes.

Yes we have freewill, and there are consequences for our individual actions, but all our choices and everything about our lives are part of his grand design and his masterplan; the grand design being to bring glory to himself and the masterplan; to make all things one in Christ..

How is this so?
God is Omniscient, this in simple terms means that he knows all things; past future and present, he knows what was, what is and what will be. This means you can NEVER, shock or surprise God.
By foreknowledge he knows the exact freewill choices you are ever going to make good or bad, right or wrong (eg if you were saved at 19, there is no probability that you might have been saved earlier, or later, God knew and predestined that you would be saved at that age) but all things work together for your good as his child...

Learn to submit all that you are under the mighty hand of God; cast your crown at his beautiful feet, and he will raise you up, trust him, look upon and unto him for your future, for he knows all. DON'T TRY TO BE YOUR OWN GOD.

The power and gifts of the Spirit given to you are not yours, they are the Spirit's, you are to minister the gifts in reverence of the Spirit, service and total humility, knowing that every good and precious gift comes from above. (That's why the gifts are called the gifts of the spirit, and the power we manifest ids the Power of the Holy Spirit)

we of ourselves can do NOTHING, let us be humble and repent, and commit our ways and lives to the All-Powerful, All-Knowing, only wise and Sovereign God.

Bottom Line: We are NOTHING, but God is EVERYTHING; the beauty of our weakness is in the fact that God is Strong, that's why his strength is made perfect in our weaknesses..... God Bless

Here is a tip (or proposal?) by a western diplomat in #Ethiopia.

The government is going to eliminate the prohibitive tax on imported cars.
I was told: "Imagine, if tens of thousands Ethiopians own and drive cars, business will be accelerated - then jobs will be created, many will get rich."

The whole thing sounded like some kind of neoliberal fancy for me.

However, I suspect, EPRDF may like it as " too many cars" could be taken as a sign of growth and could help make the new middle class happier.
