This is to inform you that the 1st edition of the ‘Kenya Science Open Chess Tournament’ will be held at the University of Nairobi, Kenya Science Campus on Saturday the 6thof April 2013 from 9:00AM. The tournament has been organized by Momentum Strategy Consultants and seeks to bring together players from Tertiary, Secondary and Primary schools from Nairobi and its environs, and will feature a range of categories for both young and old, male and female.

The tournament will be "Rapid play" with 6 Rounds and FDE rules will apply.

My daughter is on her way back home from Tennessee. The United South high school did a great job at nationals. They were 7th place out of 40 school in the nation. My husband and I are so proud of her. She did great on this tournament. She won most of her rounds. I am happy she coming home. We missed her.
