So my daughter is so active. She hardly ever sits! We knew she was going to be a rascal when I was pregnant and they could never find her heartbeat cause she was moving so much! Pulled myself together to leave my little guy & signed into the Ronald McDonald house. Pretty nice place queen bed own room and bathroom. My poor guy isn't eating well and I don't know why. Today was very busy, but also very enjoyable. In the morning we had a working cowboy turned chuchwagon restorer and cook talk about the histroy of the American cowboy , the 19th century cattle drives, and their working gear. We then toured Fort Davis National Historic Site, which is probably the best preserved 19th century frontier fort in the U.S. (Two regiments of the Buffalo Soldiers served there from after the Civil Wat until the fort was closed in 1891.) After lunch, we toured two of the large research telescopes at the U. T. McDonald Observatory and then stopped by the Scenic Overlooki in Fort Davis State Park. From there we had a beautiful view of the Davis Mountain range and the Chihhahuan Desert. Finally, after it became dark we spent time using a small telescope to do some stargazing. In addition to looking at Jupiter and some constellations, we saw the International Space Sation make it was across the lower western sky. Tomorrow it is off to Terlingua and Lajitas!
