International Week is a fucking joke. First off it should be called Arab Week since that is pretty much what it is. Seriously, 75% of the people who walked in the parade were from Arab nations. International Week also shouldn't be a platform for political messages.
Why were the "Free Palestine" people allowed to walk? Isn't the week suppose to be about inclusiveness and togetherness?
I really felt bad for the Israelis who walked across the stage. Almost no one clapped for them.
And finally why did Gender and Women's Studies walk across the stage? Why the fuck is a useless major walking with all the nations? These feminists are walking on the same stage as these Arab nations that don't even allow their women to leave the house without the company of a man and yet they never call these nations out on their bullshit. They are more concerned with complaining about jokes they don't like than actual rights for women.

Hi there, Just a reminder to the Class of 2008 that the school reunion weekend is getting closer. Just over 5 weeks to go and that means just over 3 weeks to get those RSVPs sorted (you have until Friday, 3 May). Round up some friends and remember your school days in Rockhampton on 17-18 May. Friday afternoon/night there is an option to attend a school tour and drinks/nibbles at the school before progressing to the RGS Rowing Club for a BBQ dinner. The Race Day is on the Saturday. $125 for a ticket to the gazebo area - includes food and drinks throughout the afternoon - starting at 12.30pm. If you plan on coming to any of the events, or want more information, just get in touch with Rachael McDonald at rmcdonald@rgs.qld.edu.au to confirm your start. That weekend RGS also welcomes past students from the Classes of 2003 and 1988 (this group's a bit before your time!).
