Hades is the brother of Zeus. After the overthow of their Father Cronus he drew lots with Zeus and Poseidon, another brother, for shares of the world. He had the worst draw and was made lord of the underworld, ruling over the dead. He is a greedy god who is greatly concerned with increasing his subjects. Those whose calling increase the number of dead are seen favorably. The Erinnyes are welcomed guests. He is exceedingly disinclined to allow any of his subjects leave.

He is also the god of wealth, due to the precious metals mined from the earth. He has a helmet that makes him invisable. He rarely leaves the underworld. He is unpitying and terrible, but not capricious. His wife is Persephone whom Hades abducted. He is the King of the dead but, death itself is another god, Thanatos.

So here's part 4 of my House of Hades fanfic...

and yes, it's finally a Percabeth scene ;D ~TA Jason

Told from Percy's perspective...

Percy awoke, his head throbbing and his back aching. He slowly pushed himself up to a sitting position and wiped his face with his hand. He looked around to see that he was in a long and baron chasm with little light, but there was a faint blue glow that lit the place ever so slightly.
Tartarus, he thought to himself. Percy could feel himself trembling.
The air was cold as if this place was void of any life.
Well duh, it’s the deepest and darkest part of the Underworld.
“Uuuggh” There was a groaning sound. Percy turned to see Annabeth lying a couple of feet away from him.
“Annabeth!” He gasped, he shifted towards her and leant over her, putting his hand over her forehead and wiping her hair out of her eyes.
“Percy”, her voice was meek and faint, but still she forced a smile, for him.
Percy’s eyes began to well up, he fell forwards and embraced her.
“It’s okay” He said, attempting to be reassuring. He could fell Annabeth trembling too, tears soaked his cheek, but they weren’t his.
“We’re together, we’ll survive, you and me”, Percy felt tears trickling from his own eyes now. He pulled himself away and helped Annabeth up to a sitting position as he wiped his eyes on his shirt.
Annabeth was wincing and appeared to be in pain.
“Your ankle!” Percy gasped, he’d forgotten that she’d just faced one of her greatest fears in battle and had been sent through an intellectual death maze beforehand.
And he thought two melodramatic Giants were tough.
Percy could see her backpack laying a few metres away, he slowly got to his feet and shook off his body. He was sore, but he had to grit through it for Annabeth.
He scooped up the bag and brought it to Annabeth and he knelt at her side. He pulled out some Ambrosia and Nectar and fed it to her.
Annabeth smiled at him with those beautiful grey eyes of hers, the ones he’d fallen in love with.
Percy had met Aphrodite, but she had nothing on Annabeth.
She stroked his cheek, “You chose to follow me into Tartarus, Percy Jackson don’t ever leave my life”.
She dropped the Ambrosia and Nectar and pulled him in for a long, lingering and passionate kiss. An ecstatic shock shot through Percy’s body.
All around them was silence until Percy focused in on the screeching.
“Annabeth”, he clasped her hand, “You know what that is, but leave it to me” Percy began to stroke her face. “Just close your eyes and think of home, let me deal with it”
Annabeth lay down on her side and closed her eyes. “Just make it quick” she whimpered.
Percy stood and drew Riptide. The shrieking was close and came from behind him.
He turned and walked a few metres before she came into his site.
Arachne was writhing around on the floor, still stuck in her woven jail, her shrieking was ear shattering.
Percy approached her.
“Son of Poseidon! Daughter of Athena!” She wailed, “I will have my vengeance!”
Percy raised Riptide above his head and drove the blade into the creature’s sternum.
Arachne let out a deafening scream.
Percy began to slash open the jail and slash off her limbs.
With a final swing, Percy took off the spider’s head.
The shrieking stopped.
Percy started back towards Annabeth.
“Percy” She muttered, “I can’t walk” her eyes were tearing up.
“You let me take care of you” He took her into his arms for a kiss.
Percy slung the backpack onto his shoulder and scooped up Annabeth.
He carried her forwards, embarking on the impossible quest of beating Tartarus.
But with Annabeth at his side, Percy knew that the impossible was possible.
